Our preshow gig outside FedEx Forum, featuring my buddy Jeff and his Memphis British Invasion band, Jeffrey and the Pacemakers. I attempted an 'Ed Sullivan' intro for them. haha... If you guys get back to Memphis, then check these cats out. Best band in this town!

I thought, "ok wow, the real ending of Ram On, cool" but then he started singing Big Barn Bed.
........and a hush fell over the entire bunch at soundcheck!!!
i would have passed out had he done Big Barn Bed.... also: someone else had this idea on here a ways back, but, wouldn't be cool if you could go to iTunes or some such and download the exact show you had just been to see? like 24 to 48 hors or so after you'd seen it.

Sarah, Cindy enjoyed meeting you, Alvita, and Keri on the way to our seats. Glad you had fun. Hope you didnt have too much problems with getting a hotel room. My high school friends from Mississippi also had reserved rooms at the Westin. They didnt even get a notification that their room had been cancelled till they attempted to check in. Needless to say, they were not happy!

I'm still on such a Paul high - and it's very difficult to work!! Paul was on fire, and I imagined he would be in Memphis! Going with great friends - and seeing many others - was the icing on the cake! SO glad this show ended up working out for me!!
Thanks, Fletch! Great meeting Cindy, albeit very briefly! I was making a mad dash to the restroom before the show! haha We didn't have any troubles with a room. But, we'd booked a room in east Memphis a few weeks before on Hotwire to cut costs. Stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton for $80 for the night! Split between the 3 of us that was a GREAT deal. Only 15 minutes into downtown and we found parking across from Fed Ex forum for $11. One of the cheapest overnight McCartney trips I've been on! And (luckily) didn't have to deal with the issues at The Westin.

Wix, Rusty, Abe, and Brian all toured Graceland and Sun Studios. A rather cool story about Abe, who I managed to meet Saturday. A friend of mine's daughter works at McEwen's restaurant downtown. Evidently all of the guys in the band, sans Paul, had dinner there on Friday night. They enjoyed the food so much they ate there Saturday night as well. On Saturday, Abe gave every employee in McEwens tickets to the concert! How cool is that folks!! He seemed like he enjoyed having his picture taken with me as well. No one else knew who he was except me.
That's what I get for my early dining habits, since I was the first one served there that evening and left well before they arrived. I enjoyed meeting you and Cindy, Fletch. Sorry I couldn't spend more time with you and exploring your wonderful city.

Hey Phil....can you see this?? Fans On The Run on Beale Street! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151694434433993&set=a.166149723992.141796.662878992&type=1&theater
No Rick I'm not on Facebook, I'm waiting for my son to come home (I think he still has a Facebook account) so I can see your great pictures. Walking down the street in Memphis and hearing someone call my name and seeing it was you was a pleasant surprise! I can't wait to see concert photo's, especially from the end of the concert
Phil...what happened at the end of the concert?? Rick...thanks for the fantastic photos!!
Drivin Fan How are you? At the end of the concert my wife held up a PM poster and sharpie and showed it to Paul. He smiled, nodded and sent Brian over to get it and he signed it for her. At the sound check she held up a sign about it being her birthday. Paul said something like, So I see we have a birthday in the crowd, (does anybody who was there remember what Paul said ?) she yelled and held up her sign again. He wished her a happy birthday (along with Barb, AbbiesRd) and many more and then said something like he had a song for her and played Birthday. MJ and the video guy filmed her and took pictures. So during the concert she showed Paul the sign again, so I think that's why he autographed the poster. I would love to see a video of Birthday and what he said at the sound check, and video or pictures of the end of the concert when he autographed the poster. I have been checking You Tube but so far no luck. Has anybody seen either one anywhere? If you have please send me a PM. I'm going to try and put a picture up of the signed PM poster. See you in Brooklyn, right?

Sarah, glad you didnt get a room at the Westin. Between Paul's entourage and the NBA San Antonio Spurs team, I am sure rooms were at a premium.

I had no issues what so ever with the Westin..as a matter of fact it was less than the hampton and I was able to get checked in two hours early..Lucky I guess..it was fun there.

veggieburger, I have no clever caption, but I want you to know that your picture made me cry. I couldn't fathom being so close to HIM. I may not get to see HIM this tour...which sometimes makes me think maybe neverseeing HIM again. So your picture struck my sensitive spot.

I really hope you do get to see him! I've been a huge Beatles, Wings and McCartney fan since 1995 and this is only my first time seeing Paul... I'm still holding onto hope that he tours after this, too.

This is the only Memphis copy of "Hi Hi Hi" I can find so far. It's from far away and it's not the complete song, but the sound isn't bad. You can see Paul's first reaction to our Sweet Banana sign, but not the final reaction which was the biggest. It was so much fun!!!!! Thinking about it puts a big smile on my face. Thank you so much ((Paul)) for adding this song to the setlist!!!!!!!
I'm still on a (Hi Hi Hi) high since the concert!!!!!! Just thinking about how I can get myself to another show in this tour. Same as others, I'm hoping and praying Paul isn't considering retirement anytime soon. The man still has it!!!!!!!!!! He not only sounded great, he looked fabulous!!!! -
Cindy got the beginning of the show (with the preshow music, etc) and 'Eight Days'. Here is her video. I like it better than mine!
-
Cindy also got 'Daytripper'.
-
Cindy also got 'Helter Skelter' on her iPhone. Thanks sweetheart!
