bit off topic, but is everyone in the Tulsa area ok today?

The storms that ravaged central Oklahoma yesterday weakened by the time they made it to Tulsa. Chance for nasty storms again today in Oklahoma.

yes apparently a really bad one just hit near Oklahoma City. I hope all of our OK friends here are safe!!!

Bumping to offer good wishes to our friends in Oklahoma...

Living in the path of Hurricane Sandy, let me offer my condolences to the good people of Oklahoma for yesterday's tragedy. My heart breaks for you, Lord have mercy on you all. I'm hoping that the radio stations in Tulsa will organize some kind of Red Cross drive or food and clothing collection outside the concert (one radio station in Philly does this regularly outside shows and was very successful outside Paul's shows in the past) for the people affected by the tornadoes. Everyone heading to Austin, stay safe and be smart about the weather!
-
I've never seen such devastation like that before. And to see a hospital damaged so badly is heart-breaking. I hope Paul is in a position to donate proceeds from his Tulsa concert to victims/families.

Ditto. I noticed on Twitter Paul has already got one right-wing nutjob attacking him for not doing something for the Oklahoma victims. Seriously! The guy tweeted -- ALREADY -- about how Paul came to the aid of Hurricane Sandy victims and hasn't done anything for Oklahoma. It JUST happened, for chrissakes!!!!!! Not even a full day has passed. And this idiot talk-radio wingnut is already ranting about Paul not doing something (like it's Paul's responsibility). And all because of one silly joke Paul made about Bush 3 years ago. Some people are so touchy. Just goes to show how eager some people are to pounce. : : :

I'd bet anything that ass is out to self-promote. Right-wing nutjob-hosts know that their intellectually limited listeners eat that sort of thing up.
-
Prayers going out to all in Oklahoma. I would not doubt that Paul is well aware of the tragedy and will do whatever feels right to him.

This fool criticizing Paul is indeed worse than an ass, but we shouldn't even give them any notice!! It's no reason to slam everyone who has beliefs different from yours. Please keep the politics off of this thread!! Thank you!! My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the tornadoes! Another horrifying, unbelievable act of nature! I have family in Joplin and saw the damage there soon afterward. Peace & Love to all!

I didn't criticize individuals with differing political views. I criticized morons who are too stupid to realize they're being manipulated via grandstanding of talk-radio jerks. Therefore, if the shoe fits...

Left-wing nut jobs are just as bad as right-wing nut jobs. Middle-wing nut jobs are ok!!

So that chance for nasty storms on Monday sure was the real deal. That tornado was 15 miles south of me so I was never in danger. Very surreal to watch it on TV. I do hope the BOK Center will have something set up for donations next week!

The BOK and the Tulsa Shock WNBA team are taking donations at the BOK all day today. I don't know about next week.
