These are the *official* Stones tour dates posted so far (and they vary quite a bit from what was making the rounds yesterday): Rolling Stones North American Tour Dates: Early May Los Angeles Staples Center May 5 Oakland Oracle Arena May 8 San Jose HP Pavilion May 11 Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena May 15 Anaheim Honda Center May 25 Toronto Air Canada Centre May 28 Chicago United Center June 12 Boston TD North Garden June 18 Philadelphia Wells Fargo Center
Looks like the cheapest tickets start around $140.00! At that price looks like I won't be seeing them. Gulp!
Per-sale for Chicago is tomorrow! Tickets start at $85 for this show. Then it's $150 (which is what I'll pay), $250, $400 and $600! Yikes
Be sure to give us a nice report.
I sure will audi! I'm going to the 5/31 show. and I should be relatively sober (unlike the Paul show at Wrigley lol) so memory should be good!
-
Micky T is also doing the UK shows. Would love Bill to show up too.
-
Got my Toronto tix: long holiday weekend in one of my fave cities seeing the Stones! Very excited about finally seeing Mick T as well - was very bummed he didn't do the Brooklyn show back in December so this'll more than make up for it.

It says on their website there will only be about 1,000 $85 tickets for each show, they must be bought in pairs, and you won't know where you are sitting until you pick up your tickets on the night of the show. The general sale tickets start around $150. (And if you want them for face value, you better be on Ticketmaster ready to buy the instant they go on sale)

yeah i was wrong about those $85's, I didn't see any of those available and I actually was too late to get tickets for the first show on 5/28, and I dialed in right at 11am when tickets went on sale! I ended up paying $250 ops: for the 5/31. hope its worth it.. I'm sure it will be.

I think you'll be proven correct Randy!

The $85 tickets are through a special Ticketmaster link from the Stones' official website: http://www.rollingstones.com/tickets/ The shows that went on general sale today have the "$85 tickets" button next to them - not sure if they've all sold out yet; people were still pulling up pairs not that long ago. I bought a(nother) pair myself for the Toronto show just in case...! Have to say that's a *really* great gesture there from the band - would love it if Macca did the same!
-
Saw them in 1997 and it was definitely worth it. Still at the prices now. I mean............at least buy me dinner first!
-
Love this warning from the Stones website: "We will be using strict anti-scalper measures to ensure that these $85 tickets go to Stones fans and don?t end up on the resale market with wildly inflated prices. We appreciate your attention to the following, so that you have the best experience possible: ?You must pick up your tickets in person, along with your guest. Once you have the tickets in hand, you will be escorted into the arena. There will not be an opportunity to leave with your tickets before going into the show. ?Picture ID, your confirmation number, and the credit card used to make the purchase are required for pick-up. Without these things, you will not be able to pick up your tickets. If we suspect any reselling or transfer of these tickets they will be immediately voided and you will not be entitled to any refund." At least one band is taking steps to defeat the scalpers!

I have to say I am really enjoying The Rolling Stones this year more than ever. Heard a fantastic bootleg of the Las Vegas concert last month, and the Crossfire Hurricane Blu-ray is fantastic. Anyone else dig the Stones?
-
Yes, in fact, I hung out on a Stones site for a long time before defecting to this one. Well, I got banned there (and for no good reason). The girl who ran it didn't like my being friends with someone she didn't like. With a gothic very artsy type person in Montreal

Mick looked ready for more, Keith looked in need of a warm malt 30 June 2013 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2352076/Glastonbury-2013-Night-living-dead-Rolling-Stones-rock-festival.html great pics

"How does Jagger manage it? His fellow knight McCartney has been rather found out in recent years, the passing decades having reduced his more melodic voice to an unconvincing waver. But Jagger shouts just as powerfully, tunefully and charismatically as he always did." What do you make of this quote comparing Mick and Paul? They never criticize Paul like this in the U.S. media. Rather harsh comparison by the Daily Mail, wouldn't you say? Or fair to say?
-
Yeah, way too harsh, and unfair, Randy
-
Ha! And they wonder why Paul has been skipping the UK....
