Out There Tour Merch

I really like the way they sell a shirt that has only that nights date on it and I've bought one at every show so far. but i'll be in a bit of a quandary as I don't really like the pic of Paul with his arms outstretched. so do I buy shirts I don't really like to keep my collection complete? of do I just save the money and pass on shirts i'll rarely wear? genius marketing btw

That black t-shirt was a big success, as it sold out. There are better-looking ones, but It's a good souvenir of the concert. After it was over they only had it in S and XL. I bought S (I wear M or L), even though it's too tight on me.

I like the shirt in the bottom right...hope it's on a men's cut!

Thanks for the pics! I hope they put them up for sale on the site as well. There are tons of new styles this year.

What are the little Wings things next to the poster in the first photo? I'm sticking with the white shirt I mentioned before, standard keychain...and maybe a "wing thing"? Can't tell what they are!

I think they are patches. I didn;t get a good look at them tho.

Sew on patches.

There is a good selection of merchandise in the UK, but at high prices. I believe the same items will be less expensive at the upcoming EU concerts...[/img]
The merchandise on sale at these gigs was the standard price for any major band touring the UK.

Ahhh...never seen that at the gigs before! Not sure what I'd sew them onto in my closet though.

^ I bought one and the back is the shiny glue stuff so it's an iron on one - in the past i've put iron on badges on cloth handbags and cloth backpacks, they work really good, never used them on clothes though.

Good to know, thank you!

I still have my first pair of Levi's that I got in CA in 1973 because I had sewn patches of the Sgt. Pepper logo and a Union Jack flag to the back pockets!

awwww i had a sgt pepper sew on patch proudly on my denim jacket in the 80s, wore it to school - used to get quite picked on for it but i was still proud! Sew on ones stay on well, not sure how long lasting iron on ones will prove to be! I know you can also sew round the edge but they're not as thick on the edge so it can rip through. You did right to keep them Nancy!! Have to worn them to a Paul gig?

No, they are now cut-offs (shorts) and don't fit anymore! (I weighed only 100 lbs. back then when I was 18!)

Let's hope the merchandise prices at the EU concerts (starting today in Marseille) will be a bit lower than what was charged in the UK.
-
Wish they would sell Beatles stuff as well.

Yeah that'd be great! I guess it's not going to happen because Paul wouldn't get royalty on Apple products or something like that, they would surely do it otherwise

Yup i have to agree the prices are generally a rip off but i would say i saw Bryan Ferry on the tuesday before Liverpool and paid £10 for a very hefty and very glossy tour programme and a tenner for a mug,the t shirts were £20 so it has to be said cheaper than Paul was charging

Bryan Ferry was cheaper than Paul as his stature isn't as big as that of McCartney. Also, Ferry was playing a theatre tour as opposed to McCartney who was filling arenas. I go to lots of high profile gigs and the merchandise on sale at the UK McCartney shows was absolutely in line with other acts currently playing UK arenas.
