HERE THERE AND EVERYWHERE is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. He played it in 1993, why not play it more? Like now??

this song was during the tours 2002/03 performed. Now also 10 years ago. My problem is that Paul "droped" a solo song and replaced it with a beatles song ... : and only "my valentine" isn't older than 30 years...

Could his voice handle such a very soft melody like this these days?

I've Just Seen a Face is one of my favourite songs but it's been semi-regular in the set since 2010. Same with I'm Looking Through You. Things We Said Today is a reasonable replacement but it doesn't blow me away. Rocky Raccoon, Mother Natures Son, Here There and Everywhere, My Brave Face, Put it There...now THEY would get me excited
Yes!!!! Exactly!!!!! Any of those songs would thrill me!!!! I especially think he should play Put it There because he does a tribute to everybody but his father.

If he can pull of Mr Kite, and Hi Hi Hi, then H T & E should be a piece of cake!

Everyone thinks this is a Europian song only.I thought it was a hit here when it came out. It got alot of airplay & was on MTV & VHI...
It was a minor hit in the U.S., and that's being generous. Then again, "Mull Of Kintyre" was a minor hit here, too.
-
I don't think we've seen the last of "Hope of Deliverance" but, I don't think he's going to play it in Memphis...just my guess. I think it'll be back to "I've Just Seen a Face".

Mmm Not necessarily - H T & E requires soft breath control. Paul is still good these days at belting out songs, but a close miked song such as this could be a problem.

Please Paul! This song is great to dance to, and it seems like the audience highly enjoyed it last time around! I've Just Seen a Face is of course a great song, but that song has been overplayed so much that the word overplayed has been overplayed. PPPPPPPPPPLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEE put it back in! Sign below!!!

Last public performance of the song and it sounds pretty awesome to me!

As long as Hope of Deliverance doesn't make it to the set list on Sunday in Memphis, I will be happy with any replacement.

Hope of Deliverance sounded absolutely great; Mr. Kite went over like a dead fish. I love Another Day, but its a song that is pretty boring in front of 18,000 fans. Hi Hi Hi rocked the arenas; fans went bonkers. Two shows down, one left in Tulsa.

Hope he keeps Another Day; always loved that song. Which night you going to be at in Tulsa?

If he doesn't do HoD, then stick in I'm looking through you, Let em in, I'll follow the sun, Michelle, Here there & Everywhere. These are better choices imo, instead of IJSAF.
...or Two Of Us

Of course...Kite needs some John vocals. Why he picked that song...we'll never know. Actually that would be good for a story from him. Someone should do a sign...why kite? lol

My 1st show got Hope Of Deliverance (Orlando #1).... I like the song, but it was lacking, IMO. I prefer it in the 1993 incarnation. This lineup does the song no favors. But that's my take on it.

From where I was sitting, it was the complete opposite. HOD went over like a dead fish. But Mr. Kite got a nice reaction. (But think about how many people own Sgt. Pepper. vs Off The Ground!..... And Mr. Kite's live version had some nice visuals to go along with it...)

I totally agree, The band just did not seem into HOD, and it was lacking. Mr Kite on the other hand, which I think is a wild choice of song, went down very well in Orlando.
