hey everybody!!!! I am finally at my hotel.. near the Tokyo dome after 13 straight flight-hrs I have finally arrived!! just checked in half and hour ago... the flight attendants were sooo nice they gave me a gift , and a blue origami bird-- and some type of certificate from the Captain and the co- piolet.. I thought this highly unusual.. and very generous .. took a pick w/ them Tokyo is huge!!!!!

We just had 2 big earthquakes in tokyo shook for a bit
-
maybe Sir Paul can sing 'all shook up' at his soundchecks since the earthquakes seem to want to be present also during his visit (last Saturday also)

500...WOW! I believe in the U.S. there's about half that amount at soundcheck. Love the setlist with the "new" songs...hopefully he'll add one or two others for Tokyo.
-
At most U.S. soundchecks there are "only" about 150. Can anyone else verify this? That's about what was at Memphis when I was there.
-
I believe there is a limit of 250 people per soundcheck, so maybe he meant 500 at both in Osaka?
-
wow the Tokyo crowd was on fire!!!! Im dead tired.. they did ..On My Way To Work at sound check.. it was a short sound check this time around... thanx too.. I got a copy of the setlist one for me and one for a friend... the new songs amazing live.. I was 3rd row center tonight..... 50,000 people packed the Tokyo dome.. we couldn:t even buy merchandise
-
Why couldn't you buy anything? Glad that you had a great time.
-
I have the VIP package tomorrow, but tonight, I attended with a couple of "normal folks" so I bought the Crowdsurge seats in the stands. It's been a while since I've sat in the stands at a stadium show of any kind and it's a great perspective - you really appreciate the staging and the magnitude of the whole show. It was a wonderful crowd, lots of pent up demand from fans that hadn't seen Paul in 10 years. As Harleyblues said, there were so many people buying merchandise, I saved a lot of money because I couldn't buy any. I'll be there early tomorrow, so I should have better luck. A few perspectives - the four new songs were very strong; unlike past tours, I didn't detect a serious drop in interest when new songs were played. "Everybody Out There" in particular didn't sound out of place after two minor Beatles songs ("All Together Now" and "Lovely Rita") - boy, what a great song. His voice was shaky at times - "Maybe I'm Amazed" was a struggle as usual - but no one seemed to care. It's a tight, well-paced show - I wouldn't expect much setlist tinkering.

I asked one of the people in charge at Memphis for a count and as I recall it was either 110 or 120.

I think that's average but it depends on how many people pay to attend. At Tulsa Night 2 there were only about 25 of us...
