Set list looks great! Only gripe I have is All Together Now is still there, but Junior's Farm is out. But it is a small quibble. Great job McCartney and band!!

Set list looks great. But poor Mrs. V. A song of person who is not socially accepted gets bumped for something new. Ho Hey Ho (jump, jump, jump).

Setlist 8 days a week save us all my loving listen to what the man said let me roll it paperback writer my Valentine 1985 the long and winding road maybe I'm amazed I've just seen your face we can work it out another day and I love her blackbird here today new queenie eye lady Madonna all together now lovely Rita everybody's out there Eleanor rigby benefit of Mr. K something obladi oblada band on the run back in USSR let it be live and let die hey Jude day tripper hi hi hi get back yesterday helter skelter golden slumber carry the weight the end
That is so SAD. When NEW came out Paul talked about learning the whole album with the band. Not that I expected him to perform all of it...but 4 tracks is the usual : yeah I have a new album out but It`s not a big hit. Like Driving Rain or Chaos and the respective tours. At least I expected him to do half of the songs as he did with FLOWERS and OFF THE GROUND, which are both weaker albums than NEW. Where is Alligator, Scared, Road??? And why can`t he skip Let it be, Hey Jude, Long and Winding, All my loving etc. It`s the usual Beatles revival band setlist.

Actually, wish he would have eliminated "Let Me Roll It" and "My Valentine" for anything else from "New like one of my favorites "I Can Bet". The usual excuse would be he has not been in Japan in over a decade and he would not want to disappoint the people who have never seen him do these Beatle songs. That being said, don't see many Beatle fans that would be upset if they did not hear "All Together Now" or "Benefit For Mr. Kite" - lol

not like it matters but Let Me Roll It is my fav. First thing i did when i seen the Osaka set list was look at the #5 position for Let Me Roll It and internal sighed a relief. But atlas we all have our favs that we cheer for and hope they are never taken away. domo arigato

I would have thought All together now would have been dropped instead of YMSK, and had a feeling he would only do those 4 from NEW. I guess as he's not played Japan for 10 years, there's a lot of material they have not heard before!
-
Glad to see "Bluebird" is still in his mind...at least in soundcheck form. Though I'd really enjoy hearing "Everybody Out There" and "Queenie Eye" live, being a Wings nut I really enjoyed the June-July setlist more...and "Your Mother Should Know" is one of my all-time favorites. I wish he'd play "Struggle" on this tour! It most likely won't happen, but it's a cool song and unique to the Japanese "New". He's lookin' sharp in red, too!

Is there any footage of the concert? Haven't found anything on youtube yet

I liked it too but I think it has been in setlist way too long but to each their own.

Someone mentioned that it is not considered polite to stand up and take many pictures and videos at rock concerts in Japan, so apparently most people take a quick shot and sit down again. Did that happen last night in Osaka?

He's not even playing the best songs from New, he has really poor ability to pick his own best songs.

Paul will never skip Let it Be or Hey Jude during concerts like these. I'm a hardcore Paul fan too, and I'd wish he'd do more deeper cuts, but let's face it: if he ever skipped songs like Hey Jude or Let it Be, it'd be weird! I can just imagine the audience reaction if he didn't do those songs. It would be like the Rolling Stones not doing "I Can't Get No (Satisfaction)."
-
I'm not really shocked by the drops...but I did expect at least one more songs that wasn't done at the promo gigs. It's sad that Paul has such little faith in his new music and maybe even less faith in his past post-beatle ventures. I don't think the "he's never played there" excuse is valid. He dropped three songs that were never played there for three that also haven't been played there. He clearly isn't as conscious as we like to think on the matter.
