Didn't buy this, but my mom found and gave me one of her original Beatles items from 1964! It's a tiny little book that snaps open and has pictures of the guys in it. I'll try to take some pictures and post them here in the next few days.
OMG, is it red and has a snap and the liitle book goes on a chain? I have the same freakin' thing I've had since '64! The pics come out in an accordion fashion. The "book" is only about 1.5" x 1" or something.
Yes! That's exactly what it is! and it says made in England on the back.
Mine doesn't say Made in England on the back. On the front it says The Beatles in gold. The pics inside are really old, like from early 1963 maybe. I remember my gf and I used to show the pics to her 4 year old sister and point to each and she could name who it was correctly!!

I was surprised when she handed it to me and said she got it in 1964. I think the chain came off of my mom's, looks like there used to be one there.

I've been gone from the forum so long, but it's nice to see all the familiar old names here. My full-on Beatlemania was on a bit of a hiatus as well -- I kind of got caught up in other things, but I think I'm finally coming back to it. Maybe I'll be here more often again. My most recent purchase has been the Live at the BBC Vol. 2 CD. It's been helping me rediscover how much I like to listen to their early songs. I feel like I sometimes get caught up in, "Oh, I love Abbey Road" (or something else in their later or solo years), but then I go back to the beginning and it's like, "This is fab!!!" all over again. And I like all the interview/talking tidbits. Silly little things like the way George says 'brackets' just tickle me.
