Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors
-
Given Paul's usual propensity for just announcing a few shows, I don't think anyone should, at this stage anyway, think anything is left out. And he split things up last year, traveling to Europe and coming back to America.

The Examiner is also a member here. I think he was just reporting what's been discussed here.
Not necessarily.
Sooo...a good chance for Pittsburgh?!

I've learned not to bet on anything until it is officially announced by McCartney on his site.

Solid advice, even when things seemed to be a lock....things can change at the last minute...Not trying to rub it in but remember Albuquerque! I saw that tour announcement, it was from a ticket broker site called Front Row Kings and it says announcement coming this week for NY, Pittsburgh and New Orleans

It's not rubbing it in, it is good advice!

and who knows, that ticket broker could have picked up those cities from the Beatles Examiner's site or from reading here. NY wasn't originally a possibility, was it? All this guessing is tiring, just announce *something* already, please Paul/Harvey/MPL/whomever?

Here is that Front Row Kings announcement: http://www.frontrowking.com/ticket-news/07-04-2014/paul-mccartney-u-s-tour-2014-announcement.html I hope it is true for Pittsburgh, but I have learned you never know until it's officially announced!

Key phase: "we can speculate." And since it refers to Pittsburgh as "Philly" I would not consider this to be very authoritative.

Sounded like they part they were speculating at was where in Pittsburgh it would be held, but nevertheless I agree that I wouldn't get my hopes up just on this article! "Front Row Kings" is not necessarily the first source that pops into my mind when I think of concert announcements....haha. Wouldn't surprise me if they just piggybacked off that article on Beatles Examiner...We'll just have to wait and see!

I agree. While I like the slight possibility of Pittsburgh and the buzz about it, I'm still thinking it is a rumor only that may have stemmed from us here, LOL. Like I've said before, Pittsburgh would have already been buzzing about it bc their radio DJ's and news stations cannot keep a secret.. They all compete as to who is the first to spill a story. Holding my breath...lol

Well, for your sake I hope it is true! I would love to visit the 'Burgh again but will probably have to hope for something closer.

Thanks!! Hope so too! My husband and I got engaged at the first Pittsburgh show in 2010 (no, we weren't the couple on the screen.. That was the second night!.. And our engagement was quiet lol).. So Pittsburgh is special for us! Plus Paul didn't come here for so many years! PNC Park is an amazing venue.. Would make a great Macca concert spot. IF there's any truth to this, I'd much rather he play PNC Park over Heinz Field. Heinz is awful.. Ugly bright gold seats, sound is terrible.. I also wouldn't mind Consol Energy Center again! Though that's doubtful.. I could see him doing one big show at the ballpark rather than where he played 2 back to back nights 3 years ago. Only time will tell! Common Wednesday..

As quickly as something unofficial can be a go ahead, it can as quickly be a no go. I wouldn't take a risk that could potentially put me out of pocket. I don't understand who would unless they had money to burn.

Very true. It's a non-issue for me, since I will not travel outside of New Mexico anymore for concerts. But I understand many will travel to these shows, so you certainly want confirmed concert dates before booking air, hotels, etc.

I'm pretty sure we are all sick of hearing about New Mexico! I've never been there (and never want to go) so I'm pretty sure Paul feels the same way!

Tough. And please don't come to New Mexico, the likes of you are not welcome over here.

Even if McCartney doesn't play NEW MEXICO, I am certain he will do a show in Arizona or Colorado, as those are markets he always plays. My guess is Phoenix and or Denver will get a show this year.
