Received my DVD in the mail today it's very nice comes with a slip case and the DVD comes out I had to replace the case because the pastic bit were you put the covers in was abit ripped but overall great only thing that is missing is there's no booklet inside which is a shame as the previous releases of The Beatles films had one. I will watch it later on.

Just got back from seeing it in the Chicago suburbs tonight. It was sold out! There were lines of people outside looking for tickets at the door. People on the street were stopping us asking if we had extras. It was awesome! I could hear the audience singing along to every song and laughing like it was a brand new movie. A lot of people were actually seeing it for the first time (by poll of the host). They looked great and bigger than life on the big screen in the fully restored version. Superb stereo remixing by Giles Martin and crew. The place went nuts after "She Loves You" at the end and cheered as though a concert had just finished and the real Beatles themselves were in front of us. Here are a couple of pics I took: https://scontent-b-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/10423858_4526781585596_7024908326151243569_n.jpg?oh=cec99731a786ea08916c128839cb6ec1&oe=5451A7A0 https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpa1/t1.0-9/10513474_4527151474843_2096268491190046673_n.jpg

Watched a few of the new extras last night. The Mark Lewisohn thing is excellent. The early history is condensed considerably, but he's very engaging talking about it; he really has become a scholar, with very informed opinions on things! "In Their Own Words" is fun, but some of the audio is garbled. Funny to hear John explain what "cheeky" means! The two experts who talk about the editing and directing of the musical sequences shed a lot of light on things. Reminds you how unusual this movie was at the time.
