For how many years were you a Paul McCartney fan?
-
Ever since I saw the documentary "Complete Beatles," narrated by Malcolm McDowell around 1987. I remember the year because it was 20 years after Pepper. Paul and his music were instantly my favorite. I was 13. I'm seeing Paul in New Orleans next month for the 6th time. Hopefully he's well rested by then.

Since 1991 or '92.

Since I was about 12... 1968.
-
Since about 1974, when I was seven. I still remember that my brother bought Band on the Run and that I heard it the first time: Magic! So it's for 40 years now.
-
in the year of 1963, on the BBC, on my radio Transistor at 3:am around Christmas time, I heard the finest sound of all time! it was the Beatles on the "BEEB" than I called WABC in NYC Long Distance, on me dad's Phone to tell Murray the K about these COOL Guys from Liverpool!! rest is now HISTORICAL! on my RCA World Wide Radio Receiver! I have 20 radios! I have Collected since 1959. what is that 50 yrs or so?
-
Oh Yeah that was WABC in NYC! thank goodness for Allen Freed, and Murray the K! when Radio was really COOL and FUN, to find cool stations throughout the world. now not so much fun any more. AM Radio has changed so much these days. almost non existent for cool Tunes.

I was mesmerized and instantly/magically IN LOVE with Paul on their first U.S. appearance in 1964 on the Sullivan Show. In my childish little mind, back then, we were ''destiny'' -- haha!! Both left handers and both born in June! Is there anything else for a match made in heaven??? Well, it didn't work out that way, but my love for Paul has remained! I followed him thru the Wings years and still am a loyal loving fan. I saw Paul in concert last August and can now die happy! His music, his voice, touches a part of me that I can't describe....and without a doubt I will be a fan of his until I cross over to the other side!! Guaranteed! Loving Get Well Wishes to Paul!

Since December 1968 when I was born. I grew up surrounded by groovy music, and The Beatles were part of it.
-
Press to Play was bought for my 12th birthday, followed by All the Best, and Flowers in the Dirt. For many years they were the only albums I had heard, but within the last year I have been buying all of his solo albums, and love them. I also remember watching the Give My Regards to Broad Street film in the early 80s, lying on the sofa in our living room. So I was a semi-fan, but now a proper one.
-
Ummm...I'm still a McCartney fan (your thread title makes it sound like we were fans in the past, but not now) Have been a fan for 50+ years since I was almost 9.
-
Hum. Well, Fan4-45years + 5
-
I was three when the Beatles caught my attention and mostly John did. this was just before they broke up. I was 6 when I noticed Paul and said to myself, "I like that man." It was that mullet....just something about it
-
Since Feb 9th 1964, I was 10 1/2 yrs old.
-
Since 1979, when I was 13. My dad bought me "Back to the Egg" and I was hooked. I discovered the Beatles a couple of years later.
-
Wow. someone who discovered Paul first. Fascinating. I myself did go through a few different phases with the Beatles. First, discovering the music (and devouring it). I read any newspaper article about them and watched any talk show they were on, but in the mid-80s, I learned what psychedelia was, found my purpose in life and as an aftermath, wanted to learn more about them as a people and started reading any and all biographies.
-
From December 1963 to present day. So, I have been a fan of Paul for 50 & 1/2 years. Since I was ** years old.
-
Since first hearing and seeing The Beatles 50 years ago. I will admit my loyalties were shaken after the break-up with all the bad press being slung at Paul, and the other ex-Beatles were saying bad things about him. Plus I thought his first solo albums were pretty weak, and the others were much better. This finally changed with Band On the Run, and things were brought out about the break-up that put it in perspective. Been a fan of Paul the man, not just the Beatle, ever since.
-
Since 1964 and still to present day.
