The Beatles/Band On The Run

If they had stayed together what a great record this might have been. I culled from the 1973 catalog of the other three. Even nipped a soundtrack tune for Ringo. Obviously the rest of the band would have put in more, and better, tunes? My version of it anyway. light on the rest of the boys. Ringo gets two because they're two very good songs. George deserves more and John too? apologies if there is a thread like this somewhere else on the board.

Lennon would never have stood for an album so Paul heavy. You should try to even it out more between them. Give George two and Ringo one. That's a Beatles' album!

Yes, let's see if we had to do 6 John, 6 Paul, 2 George, and 1 Ringo.

I prefer to look at the album that would've been late 1971, after they'd taken a long sabbatical. Now, that would've been a doozie.... Perhaps even a double... as a single it would be a masterpiece.

Band On The Run is GREAT as it is !!! By the way the Imagine tracks are from 1971 and It Don't Come Easy is from also '71 .

Somehow, I don't think the three men who separately wrote and recorded Power To The People, Mary Had A Little Lamb, and My Sweet Lord, were seeing much eye-to-eye in those days. We all cried about the break-up, and clamored for a reunion, but that's the reality of it.

yeah. just me having fun and obviously the other three would have had more and better stuff to add. The thing that stood out to me after doing this, again i realize i'm not the only who has made up something like this, is that it most likely would have been another double , or even a triple lp. again, i went by the dates i found on wikipedia discography listing. so all the tunes i chose showed 1973 a publishing date.
