Pathetic, isn't it. While threads concerned with what colour jackets Paul wears or what he's doing on his holidays thrive.
I'm sure once it is released in November, we'll be talking all about it. What more is there to say right now?
-
There is A LOT to speculate on. Zip across to another music forum and there are hundreds of pages on this very topic. But here it's, "I think Paul will open with Hello Goodbye wearing the blue jacket."
-

I am SO looking forward to the new stereo and 5.1 mixes!!!
-
This release is going to be so excellent. The best since The Anthology. And brilliant value for money. JB Hi Fi better not send me any emails telling me it's being delayed. Cos I won't be happy.

I hope they (Giles Martin) are working on remixing the entire catalog and re-releasing each and every Beatles album. I would buy them again in a nano-second with superior stereo mixes....as compared to those of 2009! (For me, "Rubber Soul" would benefit most from a remix. The remixed version of "Nowhere Man" on "....Songtrack" is so vastly superior...with its full rich vocals and instrumentation filling the room...to the official version of that song on the 2009 remastered album....voices over here, instrumentation over there. We got a taste of just how great that album could sound. Now, with "We can Work It Out/Day Tripper", recorded during the same sessions, being remixed for the "1" collection, we will get further proof of that.

Popular opinion is yes, the catalogue has been remixed. Let's hope The Beatles 1+ sells like buggery! If it does, surely it augers well for the rest of the catalogue.

Well, it certainly did sold well in 2000/2001. 20+ million at least...the top selling CD of the decade. Not sure enough people purchase CD's these days for that to happen a second time...or that people who bought it before...casual fans...will really see the need to purchase it again. We, who love the group, will have no problem with doing so because we will know precisely what the difference is...the general public likely will not. Wish they had given it the remix treatment back then, along with providing the videos. I would guess one reason they didn't remix back in 2000 was because"...Songtrack", with the new mixes, didn't sell as well as expected in 1999. But...if they promote this properly...and clearly demonstrate the sound differences, who knows?? But then, even if it does not....and they have the entire catalog already remixed...they can just go ahead and release them. There's enough of us out here who want them.

I was always after REMIXES as opposed to remasters.

Girl. We have been through this before. The 61 Hofner was stolen at Twickenham well before the rooftop concert. The bass Paul plays on the roof of APPLE is NOT the 61 Hofner. C'mon now.

Official and cleanWonder what that was that George said to Paul in the beginning? Any lip readers here?

Okay! Sorry I got mixed up. I just checked the Don't Let Me Down video and you are right. The '61 has 2 pickups near the neck whereas the '63 has one. I had always heard that the bass was stolen after the Revolution video, but you are saying it was stolen during the filming of Let It Be at Twickenham?
