I wonder if anyone has a complete McCartney record collection
I have a hand full of vinyl that I kept. Most of my McCartney is on CD & digital which is somewhat complete as far as I know.
-
I do. Some in vinyl and the rest in CDs. But I guess you meant all in vinyl? (actual records)
-
Yep, I do. A mixture of cds, vinyl & digital. I've been into DVDs lately.

I own all macca studio and live albums on vinyl. Except the first and second fireman album. I'm no freak for rare releases or so; the conditions are in focus. Therefore I decided to replace the older releases with the new one when the achive collection started. Now I'm only interessted in Vinyl and HQ Flac Files. The last CD I bought was Chaos...

I have all vinyl albums up to & including Pipes Of Peace except Thrillington if that counts ,which I have now on CD as part Of Deluxe Ram Box set. From Give My Regards To Broadstreet I have all albums on CD with a few exceptions like Rushes (The Fireman) and Oceans' Kingdom (should get them for completenest sake). I pretty much changed to CD when they started. First ever CD bought actually was Tug of War in addition to vinyl. I still have a soft spot for the old vinyl. Played on good quality turntable , tube/valve amp. and good speakers nothing beats the sound.

I changed over to CDs with Flowers In The Dirt. Got Press To Play way after it came out, but on vinyl.

I use to have virtually a complete collection of Paul related UK releases, up until the mid-80's anyway. Then he started to release all this multiple remixes of various singles and it all started to get a bit silly, not to say expensive. So I gave up then and just concentrated on Paul's original studio albums and maybe a single or two if it wasn't available on an album.

Records all the way up to, and including, Press to Play.... even had that on cassette for listening in the car. Then this crazy thing called CD came on the scene.... went on a splurge.... bought Press to Play on this new beast "CD" format with INXS' Listen Like Thieves in the one impulsive buy.... ... big money back in the day.... expensive for a darn fool kid back in the day..... this new flying saucer was a God-send..... what, no turning over?.... a repeat button..... loved it!

Yes, just about everything. Missing the Nimbus "Band On The Run" and the mono "McCartney" and "Ram" from Brazil as well as "Rushes". But the rest is all there, including "Paul is live", "Liverpool Oratorio", "Standing Stone" and "Flaming Pie" for example. Plus the complete UK and German 7" and 12"s

I have 10 Albums on vinyl... 57 CD's (studio ,live, B-sides, boots) and 8 Deluxe Box sets ..I started buying Lp's again, with stuff that I couldn't get on cd(Wild Life London Town ETC..) Only missing a few things. Didn't think the remasters would take so long..
-
I changed to cd with broad street because it had the extra track ( goodnight princess) I still buy the cds but its sort of downloads now
-
Unless someone has a copy of the one-copy-only single that Paul had pressed for Linda in 1985 then no, no-one has a complete collection.
-
Maybe those who operate Beatles radio and internet streaming programmes?
-
Virtually complete vinyl collection here. CD not far off either
-
I've got all the full-length vinyl releases, including the rarer: Off the Ground Paul is Live Fireman albums (all) Flaming Pie (UK AND US) Run Devil Run Driving Rain Chaos Memory (UK AND US) etc. Wide Prairie, and other assorted oddities, too.

Off the Ground on vinyl would be rarest of the rare, especially an original '93 copy. Anything in the 90's was hard to get on vinyl as that is when all the US pressing plants were closed. So only imports could be found. Flaming Pie on vinyl would be quite a collectible! I had most of Paul's on vinyl, except I never bought Wildlife. But I had everything else from McCartney to Press to Play. After that I had all his CD's until Chaos and Creation in the Backyard and the resurgence of vinyl since then.

I'm glad now I was such a "completist" I bought Wildlife and all the "weird" solo stuff from John, George & Ringo on vinyl! (like Two Virgins, Life With The Lions, Electronic Sound, Wonderwall, and Sentimental Journey)
