Sound Check

If all the S/C audience are going out, how can you save your place in the line (for example, if you are first in the waiting line, so you are obviously first row in the souncheck, but when you get out and you enter again with all the S/C audience and the Early Entry audience, how can you make sure you will be front row (and dead center ) on the show itslef?). I'm talking about the GA Standing soundcheck packages
I don't think you do Someone commented they let SC in first, and then early entrance, but among the Soundcheckers I don't know that you get to "keep your place". Maybe someone with personal experience in SC at standing concerts can verify this. This video shows the distance from stage during SC and when they let the SC people in not sure if the running is typical...?

Hi Everyone, My first soundcheck experience is next month in Fresno. I have read most of the details here, just a couple more questions. Sorry if these have been addressed already. 1. Is there much of a break between the soundcheck & the food or is there a break between the food and the actual concert? 2. If there is a break, are we allowed to walk around the venue? 3. Are adult beverages served or sold during the buffet? 4. Is it possible to do the limo watch AND be in line to enter the soundcheck or must we just go directly to the soundcheck entrance? Thank you! I can't believe I am going to do this.
The break length depends on if Paul is on time for Soundcheck or not. In Detroit, they served drinks and a few snacks before soundcheck started, then a veggie meal was served after soundcheck, and there was a pretty good length of time between soundcheck and the concert, but Paul was on time that day. We weren't allowed to leave the area to walk around until after the doors opened to the general public, but I think that varies from venue to venue. Some venues let you go buy merchandise before the crowds come in, but again that varies. I think in Detroit all the drinks were free with the soundcheck package, but again, that was my first soundcheck so not sure if that is the usual for all. You won't have time to do the limo watch as you have to be checked in and in the building before Paul arrives. Hope that helps and have a wonderful time at your first soundcheck!
Thank you paulfan11!!! That is very helpful to know all of that. I have told almost everyone I know about my upcoming experience. Employers, coworkers, relatives, friends, my manicurist, and today I told the grocery clerk.

Same here! Though all my coworkers, friends and family know how much of a Paul fan I am so it didn't surprise them that I finally broke down and did soundcheck.

Everybody at work knows of my Paul/Beatles obsession. They still think I was nuts to pay $1500 for S/C experience twice!

same here, I have done soundcheck twice. I would do it again in a minute, but this time I just do not have the funds

I hope so. Paul hadn't said anything but in these days here in Europe everybody is worried to go in crowded places !

I can imagine. Here too, precautions are being taken. Just terrible.

Just curious ....for the experienced souncheckers. What time do you normally have to be at the venue to enter? We need to plan our departure time from home, and it is about a 2 & 1/2 hour drive which includes bathroom stops.

Check-in was at 4:00 pm at the shows last year. I would assume it will be the same time this year. You should be getting the email with the info in the next day or two, they usually send it about a week before show date.

I would suggest you get there well before the time - in case there's any mishaps but also so you get a good spot for soundcheck. There's probably like 40-50 seats across the arena but sometimes soundcheck is like 60-100 people. In Liverpool I was in the first group so nothing but empty chairs in front of me but another row of people that had to stand behind us. Which has got to suck after paying so much and especially if you're not that tall

Apparently only 1 HSE left for Paris on May 30th...cheapest HSE ever -I think) at EUR495

Quick question on the soundcheck+package. I suppose you get your "goodies" upon arrival but what do you do with them later? I suppose you can carry them around during the soundcheck but what about later when you're in GA and possibly "fighting" for your spot...any chance of some type of "left luggage" ? Thanks ! EDIT - so I called Eventtravel and there is no left luggage so be ready for your limited edition numbered lithograph to be crushed if you're in GA. I pointed this out as a bit of an oversight but they didn't seem overly concerned...

That's why I hate General Admission and love it here in the states where you have an assigned seat!

If the litho is the same as the ones in the US, it will come in a cardboard tube, so it will be protected. It also isn't very large. And you may get a bag as well, so you can keep it Inside. But agree it is not fun to have that stuff in a GA spot!
