By the time I'm a senior citizen, it will be up to 80 and we won't get any of those sweet social security checks until 85.
really?
She's just making a joke. Here's how it works: If you were born in 1954 you can retire with full SS benefits at age 66. Then you get to me, born in May 1955. I have to wait until 66 and 2 mos. of age. For each subsequent year, you add 2 months, until it reaches the maximum of age 67 for people born after 1959. https://www.ssa.gov/planners/retire/1960.html You can still get reduced benefits starting at age 62, or wait until you're 70 (like I hope to since I have long-livers in my family and have other sources of income) and get a much higher amount per month. The difference for me between 62 and 70 is about $1200/month!

The Fabs only performed in concert though for about 35 minutes, back then, seems crazy their time on stage was so short. (Course they could scarcely be heard on top of all the teenybopper screaming.) So I'm wondering how exciting can this documentary really be, since the concerts were oddly truncated. Of course Beatlemania itself generated quite a buzz, to put it mildly, caused such a sensation that one supposes this film can't help but be exciting?

Yes, I know all of our rules but Hailey is not living in the US. I thought she was talking about Hong Kong.

PAST INTERVIEWS FROM MAL EVANS AND NEIL ASPINAL! THEY WERE THERE!
They were. I'm sure they both have MANY stories. But, it remains to be seen what Ron will include. Can't wait.

I just don't have a very clear idea of what this documentary entails, I guess. ops: So, it's gonna have live interviews with Mal Evans and Neil Aspinall, with various Beatle people on the scene? And some fans? With the Fabs themselves? Not just showing concert footage.

I think Jimmix was just throwing that out there, saying it would be a good thing to include.

I heard an interview with Giles Martin on the new technology used for the movie and the Hollywood Bowl album. Apparently they have been able to isolate the screams and filter them out considerably. Not altogether, but enough to make the performance of the group startling. What they previewed sounded amazing! The movie should sound just as good. The Shea Stadium concert too.

Fantastic news! Looking forward to hearing it.

Does anyone have a link to information about theater screenings? I don't live near a large city but hoping it will still come to the smaller, independent theaters locally.
Go back to Nancy's post in the middle of page 13 of this thread that says "is this it". That is the link to all the theatres showing the film. At many places it is only showing for one day. (it's too hard for me to repost the link from my phone sorry)

Doesn't matter where she lives, if she's a U.S. citizen, our rules apply.

Go to about 2:25 at this link and hear interview with Giles and examples of how the concert sounds without the screams totally drowning out the vocals and drums! It is awesome! http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07syyrf

There will be fan footage/photos that has never been seen, I know that much.

I have to drive about 35 miles, but it's on a Sun. afternoon, so traffic shouldn't be too terrible.

I was talking about the United States. I'm sure they'll raise the age limits sooner or later. Social security in Hong Kong is very different. It's based on income rather than age, but there is an "old age allowance" that starts at 65 and 70. No matter what they paid in taxes over the years, older people get about US$500 a month with a few hundred extra if they're disabled.
