Here's a video of Denny Seiwell talking about the new songs that Paul has written & how he got to listen to them. One of the songs is called 'I Don't Know' & has Ringo on the drums. Sounds promisingThanks for posting this! This means that there's at least two Paul-Ringo songs that will be released soon.. one on Ringo's album (title unknown, recorded February 2017) and "I Don't Know" on Paul's Looking forward to hearing both songs!

Sounds promisingThanks for finding that! Were you at the fest? He also said at the very end that Paul changes his story (about songs) & won't tell you what it's about. We all know that!
Sadly I wasn't there. It was shared by our trustworthy Facebook group called Fans on the Run

Sounds promisingI saw Denny do this in 2014 at a 5-night Beatle thing at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. Got a drumstick from him too! Had such a blast ! Pete Best Band, Laurence Juber and Tim Piper also there.

I hope he has finally recorded using his current band, he still hasn't recorded a full album using his band, the full band!

Paul refers to them as his "touring band" for a reason.

That's the one thing I don't want. Paul is a talented multi-instrumentalist and in the studio with multi-track recording, he can do most of it himself. At least that way we get a genuine Paul McCartney solo album.

This is probably "old news" for some but today as I googled Macca, there was an article from the BBC 6. It was an interview that Paul had with Matt Everett. The interview was broad ranging but Paul revealed that he is about half way through on his new album and that he is working with Greg Kurstin (hope I have his last name spelled correctly). Paul said he first worked with him a couple of years ago on a piece of music he is doing for an animated film. I kind of recall this information so I am sure it has already surfaced (maybe even on this thread). The main thing is that I think it confirms who his producer for the new album will be. Paul said he really enjoys working with Greg but he is a little concern that since Greg has recently won Grammy's with Beck and more recently Adele that people will think that he just wants to work with the "flavor of the month". I like the fact that Paul continues to work with different Producers which may help differentiate each album as well as he does. There was no specific information given about the new album relative to the time table for release. Also nothing given about guest musicians, his touring band's involvement or whether it is more of a true Solo album where Paul is playing most of the instruments (e.g. Paul's work with Nigel Goodrich on Chaos and Creation). All I know is that since this interview, the internet is lighting up with the information that Matt Everett gave out this morning.

You spelled Greg Kurstin correctly, but it's Matt Everitt and it was on another thread here a couple days ago: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=92329

Don't know. Greg is American, but he would probably go to Paul.

From what Paul said in the BBC6 interview a few days ago, it sounds like he's "in the middle" of working on the album.... previous news stories gave hope there might be a release this summer or fall, but a definite release date would depend on what stage he is in completing the album. Another poster here explained to me that there are four stages to an album's production: 1) Preparation--finding producer(s) and musicians, discussing musical arrangements, drawing up contracts, etc 2) Recording the music 3) Mixing 4) Marketing and distribution It's possible (without knowing for certain of course) that his latest album is at stage 3 now, and he's polishing things up exactly as he wants things to sound. He may still be doing some recording as well. We'd never want him to rush things though. He'd want his music to sound completely to his satisfaction, and to be of the highest quality.... he'd never want to give us anything less than that!

Dear Bob, after the BBC interview I am a bit shocked -could it really be that the album release date is late fall, winter or even 2018? I remember end 2011 he said in 2012 we get 2 new albums (0ne cover hence kisses and new studio album). We all know that New finally hit stores fall 2013..... hmmmm sure we all have to be lucky that our good old Macca still write music and performs.... So, Bob what are the news from your legendary contact and how do you see things now? Thanks Bob and happy weekend PS that new album is always best since Botr is old as its always the story even before off the ground As far as i remember

^ I think you meant by his right leg, right? (That's why in the O.R. we always double-check by asking the patient, "Now, we're amputating your right leg, correct?")
