crying during Pauls concerts
-
I've cried a couple of times. 'Something' is performed with so much love and passion, I find it pretty emotional. I cried towards the end of Maybe I'm Amazed at Liverpool on 28th. I love that song to my deepest, inner core and had been so disappointed when Paul hadn't performed it a few years back; what with comments on here about how he couldn't manage it anymore and wouldn't or shouldn't be performing it. He's done it the last few times I've seen him and I treat each time as possibly the last to savour, and get emotional about!!

I cried when I saw him "On The Run" in 2011 in Detroit. I always sang "I Will" as a lullaby to my younger daughter, and didn't know Paul had added that song to the setlist. When he sang it, I cried like a baby. Also got a bit choked up during "Here Today."

Hendrix Ibsen:
I see what you mean, I come from a country that many believe is somewhere in Sweden. Not that it prevents some Norwegians from believing that they are the world's navel... :
That's crazy. Norway is obviously part of Denmark.

Yeah it was, before 1814. In Norway we celebrate independence day 17. May every year. I'm not the most patriotic citizen to be honest. I've always felt a bit like an outsider actually. I may like some mainstream culture but hate other stuff. I'm into music, poetry, art... and stuff like that. The inside world. I don't like the "real world". It's harsh and brutal. Mony Money Money...

I cried 3 times during Hey Jude at The Joint concert in Las Vegas in 2009. Something about that performance really got to me.

I cried when I saw how much tickets are for a Paul concert!!

Maybe this is just me I'm a 41 year old guy who never cries not even when my ex dumped me. Yet every time paul comes on stage I cry tears of joy, normally just the first couple of songs, but tonight it was for the first 6 songs . During here today and something I cry for John and George. Anyone else get emotional at pauls concerts?
I am not a person who cries, has only happened during deaths of friends / family.

When I first saw Paul on that stage October 4th 2002 in Cleveland Ohio....I was just over the top excited. When he did the song Something for George....I cried. of course if I did see Paul again in concert. I might get emotional because I have not seen him in concert since 2002.

You may cry tears of sadness because his voice has deteriorated so badly since 2002.

I do not mind how his voice sounds now. I know that his voice has changed but that is normal as one gets older. I think he still sings pretty well for his age.
-
I've cried twice, the first was when he played Celebration at the soundcheck in Uruguay and the second was at the last concert in Argentina he was playing the end middley and tears come to me eyes because I though that it could be the last time I'd see him...
-
Oh gawd yes, I cry like a baby at his concerts. Every freakin' time. Especially when he sings "All My Loving", "Long Tall Sally" and "Yesterday". Mostly because it reminds me of when I was 13 years old...many many many many years ago when I swore I was going to marry Paul.

I cry during Live And Let Die. I can't believe to be there living that moment
-
I've started crying during and after Maybe I'm Amazed. And no, it's nothing to do with the vocal! It started in Liverpool last year and it's a totally involuntary thing. The song has become really important to me and it brings out such an emotional response when I sing it live with Paul.

Bruce M.:
During Paul's 2002 Washington DC show I choked up once and full-on cried once. The choking up was during the opening tune, "Hello Goodbye." Something about the symbolism of it all just hit me: Here was Paul out tour with this new and younger band, onstage for the first time in decades without Linda. George had been gone less than a year, and there he is singing, "I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello" and it just hit me like a ton of bricks. And that tour, of course, was the first tour he played "Here Today." I'd avoided reading about the set list so it hit me totally by surprise and I just cried my eyes out -- and from what I could tell I wasn't alone in that reaction. They nearly had to get the janitorial crew to come mop me up off the floor.
I had nearly the same reactions in 2002 for the same reasons. The fact that I hadn't seen him perform live since the 1980's just added to the emotions. The pre-show and the buildup to "Hello, Goodbye" with him in silhouette was very emotional to me. He seemed very emotional during "Here Today", which only added to it.

Another great moment is when he sings Here, There And Everywhere. I love this new live version
-
I cried when I saw him the 2nd time. the first time, I was in a state of huge pleasant shock for about two hours
-
I've never cried. I just have a big grin on my face the whole time, every time! If I had seen the Beatles in 1964 or 1966 when I was 9 and 11 and they came to Cleveland, now then I'm sure I would have burst into tears!

I must admit every time when I watch videos of Paul coming out on stage for the first time as the concert begins, I feel mixed emotions of tears and excitement and Im not even physically at the concert. Good thing there are concert videos of him to at least help me feel like Im really at one of his concerts. Paul has that special quality to have his fans become a bit emotional when he performs since he's been doing this for years. Whether it be live in person seeing him in concert, or watching him on a video in concert, and especially in my dreams yeah I sometimes get a bit emotional.

I cried the first time I saw Paul, way back in 1990. I have sometimes cried during Here Today--usually when Paul has gotten emotional. I cried like a baby during the Concert for George.
