nobodytoldme:
We didn't mention 'Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five': crazy to think it's here for 7,5 years now. I went to Dublin in 2010 solely because I knew he would drop it instantly... Also, again, realise he did drop that spine-tingling arrangement of 'Here, There & Everywhere'. He just dropped it. He added a jewel like that, in that way, and it was gone just like that. Here's 'Let Me Roll It' again. What a man.
Still salty about "Here, There, and Everywhere". So bittersweet. My favorite song of all time. I'm blessed to have heard it three times...most people don't get to hear their favorite song sung by its composer even once. BUT...it vanished for no discernible reason. I'm still bewildered. 1985 kicks ass every night but I would not be disappointed if it were replaced (key words here) with another post-Beatles piano rocker.

I like 1985. What are the other options for post-Beatles piano rocker? Fine Line? Flaming Pie? both of those would be great though i must say

5th-beatle:
He just read a sign that said "I will fight for the right to live in freedom".
A missed opportunity to play the chorus 'round once or twice. Doesn't need any fancy production or anything.
2nd missed opportunity for that song.
-
5th-beatle:
I'm really glad I got to hear "Here, There..." on piano last year, it was beautiful.
It was. Top 3 McCartney live moment ever for me. Especially because I saw him in the opening week, avoided the setlist spoilers, and I already was answering email awaiting 'The Long And Winding Road', the familiar intro suddenly going into something different and... wow. He knows it's his magnum opus, he worked on a dedicated arrangement for the tour, and he dropped it after 3 months of touring. Why? He could easily recreate that wow-factor every leg, but he choses not to and only serve the "first timer" crowd. A tragedy.
-
I'm going to sleep, wake me up if there's something new or unexpected (I guess you'll let me sleep)

You're not settling for 'I Wanna Be Your Man' ;)?

Not really a rocker, but I would love to hear "Tomorrow".

Thinking of post-beatle piano-centric numbers that are comparable to 1985 AND he can still sing will yield a short list...but here's what I can stir up on the fly... -Let Em In (Rocker it is not, but big hit it is, and hasn't had regular attention in a long time) -With a Little Luck (*Pop* rocker with an *Electric* piano...still, arrangements could be made and it is HIT material.) -Take it Away (Paul could do this from bass or piano) -Pipes of Peace (not rocker, but poppy and uptempo) -Flaming Pie (Would love to see Paul take a stab at this on piano) -Fine Line

He's playing "New". -

I may actually shed a tear if that train wreck is still in the setlist. That was downright embarrassing in Tampa. I'd rather it just be pulled and the show be 90 seconds shorter.

Remember the last time he played "Fine Line"?:
-
He has just called the rumored hatred between The Beatles and The Stones "fake news" and is now playing 'I Wanna Be Your Man'.
-
I never knew George played the yuke.

Neither did I! :

as promised, my lone tear.

Colin Hanton and John "Duff" Lowe finally mentioned for 'In Spite Of All Danger', instead of the very petty "some guys" story. Someone is now going to tell me this was already the big addition the previous leg.
Yes he has been mentioning them.

Not one single change, disappointing.
