How many of you noticed Paul “misremembering” as he always does, the ages he lived at 20 Forthlin? He said 12 or 13 to 18 or 20! It was actually 13 (in April 1956) so nearly 14, until age 21 in 1963 when they all moved to the flat on Green St. in London. He moved in with the Ashers in Dec. 1963.

'Carpool Karaoke' Drives Paul McCartney & The Beatles Onto Hot Rock Songs Chart - Billboard
-
Both of his new solo songs debut, while The Beatles' 'Let It Be' arrives after his jaunt with James Corden.
Paul McCartney returns to Billboard's Hot Rock Songs chart, snagging his first top 25 hit as a solo artist on the July 11-dated ranking, following a busy week that saw him release two new solo songs and perform Beatles classics on the latest edition of James Corden's Carpool Karaoke series on June 21.

Can you imagine driving down Penny Lane and singing "Penny Lane" with Paul McCartney?

THAT would be so cool.

Rewatched this last night and noticed a couple things I missed the first time. The church where Paul says he was a choirboy was St. Barnabas.
But to me, this does not look like the church Paul pointed out:

It looked more like the Liverpool Cathedral:

Hmmmm....this part of the church looks like it, so maybe it was St. Barnabas.

It was St. Barnabas (in the Penny Lane neighborhood) in the carpool karaoke video. I have several pictures of both churches (and have been inside the Cathedral) and the one Paul pointed out was not the Cathedral.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Since Paul was baptized Catholic, that could be one reason why he was not accepted into Boys choir at the Anglican cathedral in Liverpool when he auditioned. It makes sense he would be a choir boy at St Barnabas, which was a Catholic church.
I read that his father Jim was baptized Anglican, but didn't want Paul or his brother attending parochial schools in Liverpool, because he didn't want them to become too religiously narrow minded, and they never attended mass as a family. Being a choirboy was probably the closest to regular religious worship that Paul experienced growing up.

Loved watching this so much, it's really going viral, everyone is talking about how much they loved seeing it. Very well done!
When he was a young lad, I can imagine him going into the bathroom to play his guitar, just for the acoustics, lol. He probably loved that, lol. He later recorded sounds from the bathroom for a Wings album... needed to have just the right sound he was wanting
I agree with everyone. It's like a mini bio-documentary! VERY COOL!!!
I agree; first thing I thought after watching was that it was almost like a documentary. Very well done with funny conversations, Beatles history, and, of course, singing! Really a great piece and I'd say a must-see for any true classic rock fan.

An amazing show to watch, especially after I had visited Liverpool a few weeks after the show was on. I waited to watch it until after my trip. It was so cool!

Did you go inside the Philharmonic Pub? I did in 2011. This pic is from 2016:
