THE 'FRESHEN UP' TOUR 2018

It's gotten very quiet in here again. Has anyone heard any additional news about the Paris rumor?

Not part of the tour. But we know what to expect in September: the well-worn tributes, the stupid extra stage to justify more space between the crowd and the performer, the exact same stories word for word, the same warhorses in the same sequencing during the end. And then 2 Beatles songs he finally dropped ('Drive My Car', 'Got To Get You Into My Life', etc.) back in, 2 Beatles songs he performed in previous recent tours back in, 2 new Beatles additions (scraping the barrel) and then the 2/3 'New' songs out for 2/3 songs from the new album, but of course not the best material from said album.
The reason I'm still going is simple: those 3-4 additions I didn't hear yet, and the fact Paul McCarntey is still here to perform. But to be stimulated by a musical performance, I see 100 other bands every year.
I think you are 100% correct which is a shame IMO. I read on another thread that "Confidante" is Nancy's favorite song from the new album so you know that is one of the songs in addtion to "Come On To Me" obviously. Three to four new songs is not enough for me to spend big money to see him again, to each their own - lol. Now in addition to the new songs from Egypt Station, he mixed things up and added four or five solo songs never played live before I would be all in and buying a ticket. We all know that is not going to happen but just thought I would say it again - lol. Let me also add the stories thing really needs to change. He can't be that naive and he knows some people have heard them before so just change it a bit. Tell the audience something about a song off the new album besides just saying the is a new song - lol. As for the tributes, I agree enough is enough IMO . If he wants to continue to do them then rotate the songs at least. One night instead of "Something", do "All Things Must Pass". The same thing can be done with Lennon tribute, rotate "Here Today" with "Early Days". (I know, in my dreams ha ha)

No doubt! And still silent on the US front for any tour stops. The grand opening concert at the new Milwaukee arena was finally announced today--the one some of us thought for sure would be Paul--turns out it is The Killers plus Violent Femmes (which are a local Milwaukee band).

Hello
I sell a ticket for the concert in krakow. It s ga ( early entrance ticket). I sell it at the value face (579 pln). I made a mistake when i booked. I booked 2 tickets instead of one. I can change the name of the owner of the ticket. I asked to ticketmaster.
We can trade by ups or at the tauron arena. For more details, contact me on brunoregnier@hotmail.com.
See you soon

Any news of U.S tour dates and if Los Angeles will be added? I have been saving up to get good seats if L.A gets added! I want to see Paul at least one more time!

He isn't, he actually since a few years started introducing the stories (yes) with something like "some of you already heard this story, but...". He's aware, and might feel even a tiny bit uncomfortable about it. Because during the Australian tour he kept on mentioning "one of the stories we tell during these shows" and in Brisbane even adding an introduction to that introduction... "Yeah, I'm doing all this 'something I always say' in case you've been to the show before, you know, 'he's trudging out all these old stories'... and something I always say is that George..."

He even got defensive at one of last year's MSG shows and said that he knew some of us had heard these stories, but "a lot haven't." That got a big cheer from the crowd.

The last time I heard a story I had never heard before was the “massage” story in 2002.

The stories always do get a big cheer at the shows I'm at

Austin, Texas didn't just get added. That was the first show announced back in May.

Waiting for more announcements is painfully tedious when you're trying to plan other things around it...
What's the likeliness he'll throw in another date before Krakow on the 2nd (Krakow 3rd December) and then on the 7th after 2 nights in Vienna?
I can't see him wanting to do too many consecutive nights but I'm so nervous to book any holidays around that time

Personal opinion without inside info: I doubt he'll do a concert on either those 2 nights (December 02 or December 07). At this point, I would speculate that any other European concerts will happen in late November.
I'm also surprised that another concert in London (December 17) hasn't been announced yet, as it would certainly sell out.

Yeah I defo think it's unlikely too - I might just take the risk and go ahead and book
I'm also very surprised! I thought we would have another date by now - is it wishful thinking to specualte the reason more dates haven't been announced is because they are fixing the woeful ticketing system...

He announced the new album, the Carpool show was broadcast, announced a few Canadian dates, announced a few UK/EU dates and then did a few small shows in the UK.
All of these events happened within a few days from one another, so I'm guessing his PR team is doing things that way in order to keep him (and the new album) in news. If so, more announcements will keep on being made gradually until the new album is released and the new tour starts.
For example, now that he's in the USA perhaps there will be one or more surprise gigs in the country in August?

The last time he played the O2 in London (May 2015), the second night didn't sell out.

According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out_There_(tour) it was almost sold out, though I know that wikipedia is not always accurate. I was at both London shows then and to me it seemed very crowded but I must admit that I focused mostly on the stage, so I didn't notice if there were empty areas or seats. So I don't see why a second O2 date can't be added and a second Liverpool date on the 11th would be great too (though it has been discussed here why it seems unlikely).
