Not a coincidence - Jennifer had international calling on her phone and previously texted a bunch of friends to be on the lookout about 1:30pm GMT (8:30am EDT) on Aug. 31st on the Abbey Road cam for us! One of them did a bunch of screen captures!
Here she is about to cross, waving at me (obscured by trees) as I'm about to take her photo!

Just happened to randomly see this on Aug. 25th in Liverpool!
-
I just uploaded all 103 photos Jennifer sent me and I still have to transfer photos from my cellphone to my iPad, and some from my Canon camera to iPad. Taking forever to download. Once that is accomplished I'll have to upload them to Photobucket to be able to share here! This will take a while!

Original Strawberry Field gates on display in the gardens. Aug. 25, 2022

Brian Epstein's statue unveiled and later we got better pics. It is located across the street from where NEMS used to be where the furniture/record store was. Nearby is The Cavern on Mathew St.
-
This was SO funny - we were walking into the -1 level of our Liverpool hotel and walked up the steps to the elevator (I mean the lift!) and we're talking about how we needed toilet paper so we better stop at reception on floor 0 and get some. We press 0 and the doors open and here is the desk clerk Pioter (we recreated the event!) He had been watching us and listening to us on their video monitoring system!!

Unveiling of Brian Epstein's statue. Rod Davis is guy turned sideways with sunglasses on top of his head and Len Garry wearing sunglasses and is seated in a wheelchair in front of the statue.
Met Rod and Colin Hanton at the convention Sun. Aug. 28th: (Colin is the short one)

Mural on side of the Empress Pub (at the top of Admiral Grove where Ringo lived in the Dingle)

#10 is the white and pink colored one. Down at the end of the street on the right is the Empress Pub. There are bollards at the end near where we were standing, so you can't drive straight through.

Those were Jennifer's photos. Here's mine of 10 Admiral Grove. The old lady who lived in it in 2011 (and she let tour groups in) died since then and it was sold and looks like it's gone downhill.
This is it in 2011:

Ran across this in London:

Tried to edit my last post, but it just kept buffering. Found out that McCartney bar was actually in Liverpool!

Lovely pics - so glad you had a brilliant time
And i could look at the Ringo mural all day, isn't it brilliant. And when there in person you really fee the SIZE of it! I'm overdue a trip to Liverpool, not been since the beginning of August

Thanks! Yes, I'd seen pics of the one side with Ringo's face, but didn't know about the rest until we got there! Took a cab or never would have gotten there!
I would still like to go back just for Beatleweek (7 nights) one day, but I think my friend Jennifer has had enough! Her problem is she takes a large bag a small bag (luggage) + a backpack which she won't wear! I wear the backpack and roll my big bag with a smallish duffel on top of it - easy peasy! Her one wheel got damaged in Manchester, so what a hassle that was! She had to use bungee cords to lash the 2 suitcases together! There was no way we could take the Underground to Heathrow like we had originally planned, using our London travelcards, so she paid £50 and I paid £24 and we took a cab to Heathrow, right to our Terminal! Definitely didn't get our money's worth on those travelcards which were for 7 days, Zones 1-6 and cost us each $90!

Original entrance to the Cavern Club: (far right)

There are so many historical plaques all over the city that are Beatles-related:

Glad you had great vacation Nancy and all appears to have went very well.
