What was the first song you heard from Paul McCartney that made you a fan?
-
@littlewillow It was 1963 and the Beatles were on the Royal Variety Show, in front of Princess Margaret and the Queen Mother. No Queen that year. I wasn't the slightest bit interested in the show ( I'm still not even now lol ) and I had not heard of the Beatles, so I disappeared behind my grandmother's settee and went to sleep, until this amazing pop music started up. She Loves You. It was soooooo modern! So I immediately got up from the floor and peered over the settee and saw this amazing, modern looking pop group. It was like they were meant just for me. Nobody had seen anything like them. My grandma immediately started complaining about their long hair. I wanted my hair cut like them. My mum immediately said NO! No surprises there. But I haven't looked back since

@melody-shea
But no. You don't bother me at all. Just that I'm afraid I can't keep up with you. Lol -
@wandy
Wow, that's a great story. How old were you at the time if I'm not too nosy. -
@littlewillow I'll give you a very easy clue. There are :::::blank space:::: in a Beatle week
-
@wandy LittleWillow is French and might not be able to follow you. Just answer: 7. In an earlier post you said you were 8 in 1963 and I said we are the same age. So did you turn 8 after the Royal Variety Show which was on Nov. 4th?

Re: What was the first song you heard from Paul McCartney that made you a fan?
There were many because I knew you wrote most of the songs with John and without him but Yesterday sold me!!!! -
@calicoskych2001 I get it now. I’m not big on riddles and just prefer a straight answer,
-
@littlewillow You gave me the answer to love eternally. I love you, and you you seem to like me. Wherever we wander the local folk agree!! To their delight, they'd merely invite us in for a cup of tea.

Wouldn't those words come from a Mr. McCartney song? -
@littlewillow Yup. From the Venus and Mars LP.

@wandy This is the last album of Mr. McCartney released on December 18, 2020.
-
@njr ok see I see them all and I loved them all but I like the A side, the B side is good but A is better so those songs cause even though Lennon may have sang a lot of them McCartney also help write them, and he helped sing on the song so I just love them all ️️️🧡🥰🤩

Wandy is talking about the album McCartney III. He wanted to know what your favorite song off of it is.
