Just want everyone to know that I’m ok. I apologize t0 everybody especially Yankeefan and Nancy R.
They were the only Boardies who had my email address and they both had sent me emails and I failed to get back to them. That started the whole chain of worriment. I never saw their emails mainly because my email category is a mess because of my failure to read and delete emails on a daily basis. Felt so bad I created a whole lot of worry to them. I only caught Nancy’s email on Friday because I checked my email for that day. It got me thinking that I might had missed previous Yankeefan’s emails and I surely did. I immediately emailed both of them so they would know that I’m ok. Sorry for giving many people anxiety. A lesson well leaned as I begin to fix my email section.
Glad I’m back on the new Maccaboard. Not so “good” for many as I will start Posting on various Maccaboard subjects. Thanks!@B-J-Conlee Hi,
It's good to know that you are alive. Welcome back on Maccaboard. -

No one should feel guilty about worrying about people you care about. From time to time I get curious about folks from my past that I've lost track of and start searching online, and twice now I've had real shocks: Someone I went to college with committed suicide about 5 years ago, and one of my best friends in high school was killed in a bicycle accident in 2009, at the age of 52. You never know what can happen, and I personally think that caring, and acting on it, is better than not caring.
I know what you mean. The original singer for British metal band, Iron Maiden, was my old school friend, Paul Mario Day. I lost track of him in around 1976. Until about a year ago. It was great catching up with him, and hearing about the life he's lived. But just a couple of weeks ago he e mailed, me to tell me he has liver cancer. He's gotta have chemo. This news made me feel so profoundly sad. I wished him all the best luck in the world.

I was off line for ages... cos of the problems with logging in... did my head in!.... I literally had to give up, before I fluked my way back with a log-in. After 75 efforts.
Wrapt to hear BJ is all good!... But I would've just thought he was just taking a hiatus to come up with his updated/revised suggestion of Paul songs/albums/rarities/leftovers/demos/B-sides/off-sides/casts-offs... that form the next triple-triple album...
He really needs to give it more thought (hee hee... just joking)
Love your work, BJ!
Just make sure "It's Not True" is on there!

Sorry to hear this! Is he a candidate for a liver transplant?

I don't honestly know. But you have a good point, I might drop him an email and ask him.

If the cancer has not spread beyond his liver, he may be a candidate. A blood relative could actually donate part of their liver (if their blood types match) The donor’s liver will regenerate.
(I don’t know if you remember me saying I am a retired R.N. and worked in the O.R. - Operating Theatre to you - for 35+ years, and prior to that for 9 mos. on a primarily children’s cancer ward.) -
