@melody-shea said in Silly questions for Paul:
@njr aw but that's not true, cause I have seen Paul chewing gum while singing
Live on stage like John? Where/when?

@wandy said in Silly questions for Paul:
@beatlebabe I like honey, but only straight from the jar. Never found anything to eat it with. All tastes horrible with honey. Bread, toast, b cereal, deserts, you name it.
You were answering a post that was over 17 years old! ROTFLMAO!
P.S. I donโt like honey at all! -
@melody-shea said in Silly questions for Paul:
@njr yes I did and I thought that thanked you, but if not then thanks for the info I appreciate it
Youโre welcome. I just wanted to be sure you saw my answer the next day after I inventoried my stuff! Still have to find that darn lithograph!

@wandy what about in tea or coffee
-
@njr yes live on stage like John , not sure where and when, I would have to look back and see again , but I would see and think to myself how odd , that they would sing and chew gum at the same time without it falling out of their mouths

Iโd love to see a video. Never recall Paul chewing gum during a performance, just when being ambushed on the street after Johnโs murder or other times where it was an informal interview.

@wandy Honey is great with toast and peanut butter! Paul may like beans on toast..no worse than peanut butter and honey. Actually it's pretty good

If you had a pet parrot that was always on your shoulder, what would you teach it to say?
(was looking for a parrot or pirate emoticon, but couldn't find any! ) -
@ladyleslie Wow! Iโve never seen most of those pics! Who the heck decided to get a parrot for that part of their Mad Day Out anyway? P.S. That little boy next to Mal is his son.
-
@ladyleslie I realized I didnโt answer your question. It would depend if I could get it to speak on cue, when I wanted it to, and not just yell it out all the time. Iโm afraid Iโd be booted off the forum if I gave an honest answer! But some Scouser phrase like โAnd Bobโs your Uncle!โ Would be funny if you were in the U.K.

Actually, these are supposed to be silly questions for Paul but since he's terribly busy and probably very shy around other people and hasn't answered any so far, we can all have fun figuring out good answers for him
I love your suggestion of "And Bob's Your Uncle!" to teach a parrot.
Some others could be:
"Cutie pie"
"Oh behave!"
"You ate me biscuit!"
"Macaw want a cracka" [which would sound like Macca Want a Cracker]
"Go Veggie!"
"Beetlejuice"I think in 1969 John Lennon would have had great fun teaching the parrot to say "Big B##bs" or "I Have a B## P####r" (too embarrassed to type out the whole words) or some other "intimate words of innuendo" Ahem!
I thought of another one this morning the parrot could say: "Here's Johnny!"... thinking of Johnny Carson of the Tonight Show (or possibly Jack Nicholson in The Shining)... but after thinking about it, that would totally freak people out.... If Paul had a parrot on his shoulder that said that over and over and had guests in his house, people may leave quickly thinking the parrot had been possessed by the spirit of Paul's former bandmate... yikes! (I think I may have given Stephen King an idea for his next novel... shudder )
-
@ladyleslie I would have it say โMacca wants a crackaโ because it rhymes! Yeah, donโt let John get ahold of teaching a parrot phrases! OโฆMโฆG!

@njr Thanks for finding the parrot emoticon, Nancy! I knew it was there somewhere!
I want a parrot now As you know already Nancy, I like doing historical research and found out Dolly Madison (wife of our 4th President) had a pet parrot "Polly" that she kept at the White House, and she enjoyed having children see it when they visited her. Martha Washington, Andrew Jackson, and other presidents and first ladies also had parrots and birds as pets.

(Actually a Hyacinth Macaw).

To keep on topic... This could be another silly question for Paul... Did you and the rest of the Beatles try to get the parrot to talk? or did it have things it knew to say already?
-
@ladyleslie I hate that that photo is printed backwards! ๏ธ
-
Now the clock shows the correct time!
-
@ladyleslie Thank you - much better!
