Although a figure of fun for some, and a few on this board, I'm looking forward to this. Since Vertical Man I've always found many tracks on his albums to be extremely enjoyable. He himself says he's no Pavarotti, but I enjoy his singing. Rock on Ringo.

Ringo is a MUCH better singer than Kanye West. Paul should do a duet with Ringo!

Always love a new Ringo album! Won't be setting the bar too high...but with any luck we'll get more summer dates here in the states. It is exciting and noteworthy that the all-starr band is finally THE band on the album. Now if they would just have their own songs on it...

And Rory was already name checked in Liverpool 8. It wouldn't be a Ringo album if he didn't have an obscure (or blatant) reference to Fab days past. Or in some cases, pre-Fab. You could almost have a drinking game listening to his albums. 😉 God bless him.

Live albums have much more potential for repetition... -What's ma naaaame???? -You know we're coming back, WE know we're coming back... -Peace 'n Love! ...surely there are more!

Yikes. I hope its better than these lyrics from In Liverpool: In the U.S.A. when we played Shea We were Number One, and it was fun When I look back, it sure was cool For those Four Boys from Liverpool Seriously, why doesnt any of his friends/peers tell him these trite lyrics about his past are just plain embarrassing?? Its one thing for a professional artist to be whimsical in his lyrics, but quite another to write lyrics that a 10-year old could better.

Hope he puts more originality into the album cover than this.

It seems THIS may be the actual cover, but either way, I think it's unwise as an image and a title. Unless you're Jimmy Buffett or Jack Johnson, these tropical images just project a sense that you just goofed around by the beach with some friends and didn't really get down to business. This kind of image sure didn't work for Kings Of Leon or Emerson, Lake & Palmer, and I don't think it'll work for Ringo either. If he's got a killer single coming, that could overcome it, but I'm not too hopeful, I'm afraid. I will still buy it, of course!

True, but didn't his last album sell in four-digit numbers? I just think he would be better served by a cover that suggests some kind of excitement, like it rocks. "Ringo Rama" and "Choose Love" conveyed that pretty well, I thought. His last few covers have been terribly unimaginative, you have to admit!

I don't think the best cover and title in the world will help Ringo's sales at this point. I'm not even sure a home-run album would, though there's always a chance.

I don't think the best cover and title in the world will help Ringo's sales at this point. I'm not even sure a home-run album would, though there's always a chance.

Oh you mean Ringo. Thought you were referring to McCartney.
