Melanie, do you know this Ringo song "You're Sixteen" (written by Sherman/Sherman) You come on like a dream, peaches and cream, Lips like strawberry wine. You're sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine. (mine, all mine) You're all ribbons and curls, ooh, what a girl, Eyes that sparkle and shine. You're sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine. (mine, all mine, mine, mine) You're my baby, you're my pet, We fell in love on the night we met. You touched my hand, my heart went pop, Ooh, when we kissed, i could not stop. You walked out of my dreams, into my arms, Now you're my angel divine. You're sixteen, you're beautiful, and you're mine. You're my baby, you're my pet, We fell in love on the night we met. You touched my hand, my heart went pop, Ooh, when we kissed, i could not stop. You walked out of my dreams, into my car, Now you're my angel divine. You're sixteen, you're beautiful, and you're mine. You're sixteen, you're beautiful, and you're mine. You're sixteen, you're beautiful, and you're mine. All mine, all mine, all mine. All mine, all mine, all mine. All mine, all mine, all mine, all mine, but i do. You are mine! What shall we do with the drunken sailor? What shall we do with the drunken sailor?
Ringo sang this on his Ringo TV special in 1978, serenading a young hottie. That would have made him 38 or 39...Awkward!

He would have been either 37 or 38 since he was born July 7, 1940, but it's still a bit creepy!

Maybe he can sing it at the Academy Awards if Roman Polanski gets a Lifetime Achievement Oscar.

FYI both Paul and Linda McCartney played on the Ringo album version. And the "hottie" he sang to on TV was Carrie Fisher fresh from playing Princess Leia in Star Wars. :

I removed my post in this thread. Again, I wasn't thinking at the time, and I overlooked current events. Again, my apologize to anyone who may have been affected.

The Beatles "Little Child" the question is: How little is the child**???** by Lennon/McCartney Little child, little child, Little child, won't you dance with me? I'm so sad and lonely, Baby take a chance with me. Little child, little child, Little child, won't you dance with me? I'm so sad and lonely, Baby take a chance with me. If you want someone To make you feel so fine, Then we'll have some fun When you're mine, all mine, So come, come on, come on. Little child, little child, Little child, won't you dance with me? I'm so sad and lonely, Baby take a chance with me. When you're by my side, You're the only one, Don't you run and hide, Just come on, come on, So come on, come on, come on. Little child, little child, Little child, won't you dance with me? I'm so sad and lonely, Baby take a chance with me. Baby take a chance with me. Baby take a chance with me.

I'm not sure that "Little Child" represents a sexual overture. What if John were singing those lyrics to someone as they were playing something on the piano that John saw potential in? Something that might make for a gig or a record. Maybe it's all a tease and "won't you dance with me" means "on a stage", and "when you're mine, all mine" is an allusion to "an exclusive contract". What if John was teasing the business end? Like "Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby"?

As you can see it's a type of lyric that a variety of meanings can be read from, including an innocent dance and play Little child, [...] Baby, take a chance with me.
