In this true crime show, Troubled Waters, this girl in the episode works as a waitress, but during the live performance by a singer/guitarist at the restaurant, she is asked to come up and sing too. The narrator says, “She knew some folk-rock, Simon& Garfunkel stuff. She knew some Beatles songs.”

On Family Guy, Brian becomes the mascot for Pawtucket Ale and is called Hops the Dog. Chris and Meg wear “Beaglemania” t-shirts. Chris says, He even recorded “The Bite Album!” Cut to Brian in the studio going “K-9, K-9, K-9.”

New Google ad on TV uses a cover version of Help! The commercial is about a minute long.
-
Last night on Criminal Minds, Penelope (the computer whiz) says, I scanned for backmasking, which is messages played backwards or under other audio tracks, you know, like ‘I buried Paul!’ (closed captioning wrote “Liverpool accent” after that!) She did say it in a deep Liverpool accent!
-
Last night on SEAL Team, Sonny is whistling “Friends In Low Places” (out of tune) and his buddies start complaining. Sonny says “Only The Beatles have sold more albums than the legendary Garth Brooks!”

Nightly News had a segment on the 50th anniversary of their final and rooftop performance. Lot of bands did the same all over the earth covering their songs.

Bob Gannon had a live Facebook video of The Blue Meanies recreating the rooftop performance at the top of a parking garage in Staten Island.

I just bought season 1 of “Star Trek: Discovery” and in one of the episodes the character Michael Burnham is explaining how she was raised on Vulcan and attended the Vulcan Science Academy (so she considers herself Vulcan even though she is human) Paul Stamets replies “My uncle plays in a Beatles cover band. It hardly makes him John Lennon!”
The show takes place in 2255!

Last night on Criminal Minds, David Rossi is getting married (again!) and his best man is Johnny Mathis. Rossi (voiceover) says: A good friend of mine once said “All You Need Is Love.”
(On the show it is a running gag of all the musicians Rossi is friends with, including Ringo)

Film of The Beatles attending the opening of A Hard Day's Night is featured in the PBS documentary "Margaret: The Rebel Princess" Paul and John look great in their tuxedos as they meet the Princess and a narrator tells the story of George, not knowing protocol, stepping up to Princess Margaret and saying that they were hungry but that they were not permitted to eat until she left. As the story goes, the Princess replied that, in that case, she ought to leave, and she did.
It also had a bit of footage of The Beatles walking in the courtyard of the Palace and showing their MBE awards, to illustrate that times were changing in the 60s.

2/17/19 Last Week Tonight With John Oliver
He is discussing Brexit and explains “The U.K. Is actually four countries - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. A Fab Four, sort of like The Beatles. I won’t say who the Ringo is because that would be unfair to Wales.”
-
On “I Am The Night” 2/18/19 (The show takes place in 1965)
This cop is talking about how he has an hour and a half commute to work - “I think about my life. I listen to The Beatles. Try to figure out what makes the girls scream like that.”

Was watching an old episode of "The Avengers" (with Diana Rigg as Emma Peel), and Mrs. Peel and Steed were investigating a knitting club where little old ladies met every week to learn new techniques. They heard men yelling from the other room and saw one of the knitting ladies open a cabinet, and four mop top looking guys fell out, and landed on the floor, with knitting needles in their backs. The teacher said "Oh no! That's John, Paul, George, and Freddie!." As they lay dying one of them pointed to the knitting ladies and said, "Auntie! Auntie!"
Found the Avengers episode on the IMDB, it's called "The Girl from Auntie" (a pun on the TV series "The Man From Uncle")
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0516908/plotsummary?ref_=tt_ov_pl
When Steed returns home early from a holiday, he finds Mrs. Peel replaced by an actress, Georgie Price-Jones. Subsequently everyone involved in the hiring of Georgie is stabbed to death with double-O knitting needles. It seems the real Mrs. Peel has become Lot 17 of 'Art Incorporated', an organization which prides itself on being able to obtain any object for any one as long as the price is right.

I was told that it would be silly to start another thread for The Beatles being mentioned on the radio, so I just post them here.

PBS has an automobile program where people can donate their used vehicles to help others out.
They always play a (Baby You Can Drive My Car) jingle while talking about it.
