If this is for UK gigs in December, they're really jumping the gun a bit...five months out isn't normal for a Paul announcement...especially in Europe.

Have to agree, that and the last two times he’s played there the announcement came out of the blue none of this sort of nonsense, but summer can be a good time for Macca spotting in Liverpool,as for the echo newspaper well let’s says it’s reputation is a little soiled in and about Liverpool.
but we shall see let’s hope it is a date announcement

US venues do this sort of hinting all the time so they've picked up on it, or Paul's PR folks suggested it perhaps.

In the last few minutes they've posted another photo of the Hofner in front of The Beatles statue with some more song lyrics.

alright so I'm torn. No US rumors for the year, so thinking about Montreal for that reason alone in fear that will be my only chance.
Anyone know turn-around time for passports?
-
That Hofner is an old one, from at least 1961. The Hofner name is vertical instead of horizontal like Paul’s 1963 one. And of course it’s a lefty!

It does seem quite early for Nov/Dec gigs, however what with the fantastic publicity after the Carpool Karaoke, perhaps they want to capitalise on that, and get some dates on sale sooner rather than later.

Not that long, maybe 3-4 weeks, but that was for a renewal. If this is your first one, get it NOW!

My money's on a Liverpool gig this month, announced at short notice. One of the July shows that he's hinted at in interviews. I'm going to Liverpool for a graduation ceremony on 19th July, so that would be convenient! Even better would be this Saturday or whenever it is that Team GB are playing their next football game. #soccersucks

As I look at all these and think it over, I would be more willing to believe that these are hints for a pop-up gig...perhaps as soon as this weekend.

He said small gigs, Echo Arena is not a small gig and he's already played one in Liverpool. While it always could be, I tend to doubt it

Some California dates would make sense...and Denver is overdue, but all those others have been visited fairly recently, considering the regularity at which they've been visited over the years.
I still can't imagine him doing nothing on the East Coast with a new album to plug. He knows he can sell out Philadelphia, either venue, in a heart beat. New York would be foolish after last year, and perhaps DC and/or Boston would be a bit of a stretch. There just seems to be something special about Philadelphia for him. It's a home-run every time.
As for who may be the grand opener for Milwaukee...perhaps Billy Joel? He's one to do the whole venue opening shtick much like Paul...and he hasn't been there in a decade.
If they are driving all those trucks the 2200 miles from Edmonton to Austin, they have to drive right through Denver.
Just sayin'
