I checked flights and prices for ACL a couple of weeks ago to see if it was worth going to see Paul there, decided to wait for a non GA US show.
No festivals for me, either. Bring on some arena dates!

I will be shocked if he is not opening the new arena in Milwaukee in late Aug/early Sept.

Agree, I've posted about this before and am keeping an eye on it

I'm too old for the ga festival sh*t. Give me a regular seated headlining show, preferably in an arena, not a stadium.

I can bet that he'll add a show in Houston (not played since 2012) in the week between the two ACL weekends. Maybe a secret show or two around Austin as ACL acts tend to do (think Indio/Desert Trip secret show fashion). Dallas less likely as he was there in 2014. While Dallas is a large city, and that was four years ago, there are many other large US cities like San Jose, Charlotte, Memphis, Denver and Raleigh for instance that have gone much longer without a show. Only other 2014 repeats I see maybe happening are Chicago, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and Phoenix.

Doubt he will play Chicago again so soon, since he played two shows in the suburban area last year, plus I still think that opening the new Milwaukee arena is more likely. West Coast is overdue since they were completely skipped in 2017.

Do you think Pittsburgh will be a stop on the tour? Its been four painfully long years.

ah yes forgot about the Tinley Park shows. Indeed, doubt Chicago is on the agenda for 2018.

Yess West Coast pretty please?
Missed him so much last year. -
Paul will be there both weekends

Me too! I’m too old for general admission shows outdoors! Now if GA is Georgia in an arena, sign me up!

If Paul is promoting his new LP, I don't think it really matters where he played in '17...he may want to plug it in as many big cities as possible.

Finally, some news! I would guess that this festival will either be the kick-off or the closer to a late summer/early fall tour. As for which markets to avoid? I would think NYC is the only area that would be avoided given the vastly over-saturated string last fall. Otherwise, if there is a new record and he is touring the entire US, I would think we would not only get just about all the major cities spread out over 2-3 months, but we could also get a new tour name and about a dozen songs in the set shaken up too.

Negotiations are underway for Paul's return to Brazil in November:
The first rumors (back in early March) mentioned that he's planning a more-extensive-than-usual tour of South America because it will be his final visit to the region. The tour would be centered around Argentina, plus concerts at least in Uruguay and Brazil.
Since then, the man in charge of the stadium in Montevideo said the concert in Uruguay will be in October, rumors surfaced about negotiations for concerts in Argentina in October/November, and now we have news about negotiations going on for Brazil in November.
I doubt Paul himself will publicly announce a "final tour", but I don't doubt his tour manager told the South American promoters about it (if that is indeed Paul's plan) and one of them leaked the info, as they usually do.

Do you guys think he'll do a NY show? I know he was there in 2017, but I'm down in Miami and I'm doubtful he'll come back here since he already played last year. He played NY last year too but I'm a bit more hopeful about that one since he also resides there, at least part time. Or New Jersey also works.
*edit*
I just saw @WixRock's message after I posted mine, lol. Damn! Well I still hope he comes to New Jersey. I have friends in NY/NJ so I can at least avoid hotel fee if he plays there.

I'm hopeful that the reason things are quiet now is because he's working on finalizing his upcoming tour dates, etc. Will continue to remain optimistic and send positive thoughts! (fingers double crossed for Kansas City ) Good luck to everyone who's wishing for Milwaukee, or whatever city they'd like him to visit!!

I would seriously doubt NY or NJ will see a show. We were spoiled with so many area shows this year but you never know. Since it appears that there will be no summer shows, I don't think they're in a hurry to announce right now
