Looks to be a very quiet summer
Thanks Bob, so... in your opinion.... there's a possibility no concerts in June & July, but a tour may happen after that? (hopefully to coincide with release of new album).
My dream concert would be if he could be in Kansas City near the time Ringo is, over Labor Day weekend, and make a surprise appearance at his show Never hurts to dream of course, lol
Last year he announced his concert tour for the US on April 24-25, so hopefully any day now we'll hear something.
i'm not holding my breath for June or July shows. In fact, I am already looking at other tours that I may want to see. I do expect fall shows to promote the new album.....right now, there are no answers to when, where or how many.
Ok, thanks Bob!
I understand too that if there's an entirely new tour this year, to coincide with the release of the new album, there's probably a lot of preparations and rehearsals that need to take place behind the scenes before any shows can take place, and that can take a few months in itself. But that gives us more time to save up, if we need to travel and make preparations, etc. As long as he's going to do shows sometime before the end of the year, that's all that matters I can be patient, he's worth the waitl!!

Thanks,Bob. I was thinking it's getting a bit late for June/July since it's nearly May with no announcement (or good rumours!) and many venues are already booked up, not to mention the festivals. Still holding out some hope that he'll be the grand opening act at the new Milwaukee arena. The first date that they have an event/concert booked is Kevin Hart on Sept. 13th, so the dates/timing fit if Paul is going to do a fall tour.

Almost April and no tour news or even the slightest credible rumor. Hmmmm
Is it possible any tours he does won't start until the new album is released? If, let's say, his album will be released in September, then maybe he'll want to begin touring at the same time? What's the latest he's ever started touring? Has he ever started touring late summer/early fall before?
Yes..Paul's tours in 1989 and 2005 began in September.
Thanks for the info, DrivinFan! September 1989 was beginning of the New World Tour, and September 2005 saw the "US Tour" (to promote Chaos and Creation). So it's possible this year he's preparing an entirely new tour to promote the new album. If that's what's happening, I don't think we'll be disappointed at the end result, if we have to wait a few months longer. As I said before the wait will be worth it to see him in an entirely new show and songs from the new album. He and the band and technicians etc would probably need the summer months to plan and rehearse, etc. If it starts in September, it's entirely possible too that a tour could last from September - December and another leg in early 2019, who knows... (just wishful thinking on my part, lol)

it’s only April, still time to get some concerts in this year. Been spoiled in the past when he started touring in March. Really here to check it out, make sure it still works for buying tickets.

Bunch of folks are speculating that Paul is headlining ACL Fest this October. Anyone able to confirm/deny? Lineup is announced tomorrow.

What and where is it? Austin City Limits?
My guess was right:

I guess we will find out 10am Texas time. Reading Metallica is a headliner. Rediitt has Paul as another headliner. If Macca rumor is true can fall dates be announced soon after?
-
101.5 in Austin just said they know who is appearing at the festival but until 10am you just have to "let it be"

With that kind of a clue, if it's not Paul they have some "splaining" to do!

confirmed!

Paul has been confirmed for Austin City Limits in October

This is great news!
I was in Austin last year for a couple of nights. It's a great 'music' city.
I, like many others on here had been a little sad about how quiet things had been, but this is fantastic news. It works for me financially too - more time to save up!

How do you know which weekend he will be there?

That's great. But do you think he'll be in Europe this fall?

Usually with these things it's the same lineup both weekends.
Very exciting, hope a full tour is announced soon!

Great news!! I'm sure some other dates and cities will be announced soon

This website shows who's playing both weekends or certain weekends. Paul's doing both

I checked flights and prices for ACL a couple of weeks ago to see if it was worth going to see Paul there, decided to wait for a non GA US show.
