^ It's a toy gun!
'My guess is that it is sometime in 1982, probably the fall.

This might have been the day Paul wrote Hey Jude.

Some morons on FB couldn't figure out this is Stella! One even said maybe Beatrice! (btw, I didn't post the photos originally, someone else did)
This is Stella? There was a photo in one of Linda’s books of photos, of a little girl who had a handbag with all cloth strips put on her head like a wig. This little girl looks like that photo of the girl. I always assumed it was the daughter of a guest visiting. Have to find that book! I suppose it’s difficult to figure out who people in photos are, you see that all the time. Poor Julian tho, he does seem to be overlooked so often.
That is Stella in the photos. She posted that top photo on Instagram for Father's Day about 4 years ago.
Thanks Lady Leslie I can see that now! Linda has so many beautiful photos of the children. Hope to get to another show after June.
Linda did take so many beautiful family photos! It's wonderful you've been able to see one of her photo exhibits! Wish it were possible to have some in the U.S. 0ver the last several years it seems like they've only been held in the U.K. and Europe.
I found some photos from the Gagosian Gallery in NYC Mother Daughter exhibition.
Thanks, Love2Travel! I remember Mary having an exhibit with her mother's photos, but I think that was a different exhibition in Europe a few years ago. I'm glad they were able to have an exhibit in NYC. Were you able to go to that one at the Gagosian?
Yes I took the train into NYC to see the show! I have many of Linda’s photography books and 2 of Mary’s. It’s such a treat to see photos that you’ve seen online, in person. I think the photo that stood out the most to me, was the photo of Paul with the red rose in his mouth. It was very large and very beautiful! Since it was a Mother-Daughter exhibit, the photos were grouped in a way that to me, seemed to represent a Linda photo as an inspiration, and then photos by Mary that were inspirational to her Mum’s photo. I really enjoyed the show! Stayed for a while and then doubled back to get one last look at my favorite photos. The inspiration was quite evident and it was a beautiful weather day with perfect temperatures. Walked back to the train down Park Avenue, a very lovely window shopping experience as well.

Some nice family photos Oobu, cool! Love how the Brits have their picnics... it's such a wonderful tradition to go for a wander and then bring out the picnic hamper! I'm guessing the last photo may be in Scotland. The wide open spaces in the North and in Scotland and Wales are extremely beautiful. It's like those windswept classic movies...

^Great photos! Have never seen any of those! The one where they're eating must be summer of 1969 - Linda is visibly pregnant. The next photo is about a year later.

Probably taken during their holiday in Greece in June 1969.

It always amazes me the way you two date these photos. Linda doesn't appear necessarily pregnant to me. You guys must have some incredible notes! I don't doubt you are correct, yet I always wonder if Paul would remember all these as much as you two do! Cool beans!

Paul always says that the fans know his history better than he does!

It can be frustrating when even in 'official' book photos are incorrectly dated. The classic example is the one with John and Paul sitting together which Linda identified as them working on the 'Abbey Road' medley (1969) album when it actually dates from October 1968 when they were working on the sequencing of the 'White album'.

There definitely needs to be a photo history book with accurate dates! I would definitely buy that book!!! It would be really cool.

I would assume that most authors think that their dates are correct & accurate.

Is there a photo history book that you could recommend Oobu? I would probably be most interested in a Paul McCartney Photo History. I guess there would have to be something with over 1,000 photos to be decent history wise. Thanks! Somehow I imagine Nancy having a very orderly and well notated set of photos, Kestrel as well.
I keep seeing Beatles books with a lot of the same info or the pictures are not well identified.

^ No, no recommendations.
