I saw these guitars at beatlesweek last year alomng with the unfnished statues that have now been installed on the waterfront. There's nothing really exciting for me announced yet for Beatles week (Micky Dolenz and Pattie Boyd) and unfortunately my favourite Beatles tribute band (Them Beatles) are currently on hiatus so may not be playing. Still, my wife and I are heading down to Liverpool that week anyway to savour the atmosphere.

My wife and I go down to Liverpoool a couple of times a year. It's just a couple of hours on the train away from me.

Glasgow's very own Them Beatles are set to make a triumphant appearance back at BeatleWeek 2016, according to a post on their official Facebook page, building on the success of previous appearances. The band are one of the best in the world and have taken a twelve month hiatus after last years BeatleWeek, due to losing their full time drummer and to focus on other Beatle related projects.

That was a funny write-up on them! Billy J. Kramer will be at the Royal Court the same night. I met him on a cruise for Beatles fans. Super nice guy! Update: Billy J had to drop out of the show on the 28th and Steve Holley will be coming to play with Laurence Juber and Howie Casey on the 26th. I think Laurence is doing a solo show on the 28th. All this at the Royal Court. -
If you're in Liverpool for BeatleWeek, which is only three weeks away, you should check out Sgt. Peppers on Mathew Street - between The Cavern and The Hard Days Night Hotel It's a brand new venue that features a bar, restaurant, music venue whilst upstairs there will be a Beatles themed museum.
