They need to give us the Paul sequence that was cut out of the movie. That would be a hoot to see! (Paul....Acting!)

Cool news. I guess we will see a lot of 50th anniversary related releases between now and 2020.

Looking forward to seeing it in the theatres (hopefully) although having to buy the film AGAIN is a bit of a drag...I've got about four different copies of it going back to an old VHS I got in the 1980s!

I know what you mean: I think I've only watched the last DVD once, but if the new one is in the correct aspect ratio, that'll be worth it.

Extras look good glad they have included The Making Of Feature I've never seen that one. I'm not too sure about the DVD & Blue Ray cover. As for a cinema release I'd be happy to see it again I've seen it twice in the cinema in 2001 it did a cinema tour then a gain in 2002 but not on a tour.

I think this is the very first appearance of The Beatles on the Criterion Collection.

Actually it was released by Criterion as a Laser Disc in 1984, the same year it was first released on videotape by MPI. The film was owned by the Producer Walter Shenson, and still owned by his estate. It was on Miramax DVD previously, part of Disney for many years, then sold in 2010. It's the only one of their movies that they never regained the rights to, which is why is isn't being released on Apple.

I welcome any Beatles release, but hasn't AHDN been done to death ? I've got the Miramax 2 disc edition sitting on my shelf... Surely Shea Stadium Blu-ray , Hollywood Bowl CD/new vinyl and Let It Be on Blu-ray are far more pressing matters ?!

I think the best you can do in the meantime is use the internet to have those unofficial releases. It sucks I feel like we'll get a 4k Blu ray release of Yellow Submarine before we see Let It Be released. It's annoying.
