David Lynch Foundation Concert

I noticed most of the YouTube videos from the show at Radio City are no longer available. I guess that means that a commercial video of the concert may be in the making.

Hopefully, but that will take at least a few months. In the meantime, can someone please upload their videos at Rapidshare, Megaupload or some other server for us to download? Quality will be much higher than youtube and that will prevent them from being removed before fans can watch them. Thanks in advance for anyone willing yo help. Mod Edit: Please note our forum rules are quite specific on file sharing activity on this message board:
Please do not post or advertise direct links to unauthorized copies of performances, download/Bootleg sites. Anything posted of this nature is subject to removal
If so, all Youtube links should be removed from the threads, since they are "unauthorized copies of performances" and they can be downloaded very easily. Therefore, they should be considered direct links to bootleg videos.

Interesting article in Rolling Stone mag about Ticket Master who now just merged with Ticket Nation making them the untouchable biggest ticket distributor out there.. I guess (no surprise, I've always suspected this), the artist, management, and ticket master are in collusion to take all good seat first and resell... Looks like ticket scalping isn't just for scalpers. Looks like the ARTIST and their MANAGMENT team and TM, take the best seats and resell, give or auction them off. Makes sense why this concert sold out in seconds and why no affordable seats were gotten by all those right online first thing to buy. So many wasted there time thinking they?d get good seats. Whats the difference in what these guys are doing than wall street who manipulate the market. This is manipulation saying there seats sold at in 7 seconds but in fact they only released 20 seats or something like that. The rest are online being hawked for 10 time the amount. Who pockets that coin? Not the charity. This means anytime you use Ticket Master to buy seats thinking you might get lucky, well that will never happen because they don't release the best seats in all price ranges. They can resell them and get 10 times the money. This can't be legal and it sure isn't ethical. I think if nothing else public disclosure to this practice by who?s involved and what seats and how many should be publicly disclosed. This is an under-handed business practice. Once again greed figures into any thing that people enjoy and they know emotionally they will pay for. I glad I didn?t bite the bait. I hate cheaters. Saying that you are selling front row seats for a special price but in reality you're holding back all affordable tickets and making it impossible to get good seats unless you pay is wrong. Plus these artists are given free seats there peddlling on eBay or the other Ticket Master resale sites and where is that money going? Has there been any public disclosure on the money raised. How much, where its going etc? These benefits are nothing but a way for rich unemployed entertainers to keep busy on another?s dime. Wait and buy your ticket the day of concert or in front of the concert. What these greed mongers don?t sell they dump for face value or less. So there is a scramble to get them all sold before the music starts. Best seats and personally I rather support the scalper at the door than the artists' greed. When the first chord strums you?ll be buying front row for ½ of face value.
Interesting indeed.

Hi all, Only three weeks later (lol), I've finally managed to upload my photos from the David Lynch Foundation Concert on ph0tobucket.com. There are 124 images of all of the performers, some photos better than others, but hopefully this link will work and you'll be able to enjoy them! http//s662.photobucket.com/albums/uu341/walliebaby/ D Have fun perusing the almost obssessive amount of Paul photos...

Very nice photos! Thanks so much for sharing these with everyone!

No problem--whenever I go to a Paul concert, I can't help but use up all of my memory card space snapping shots. lol

Hi all, I posted this in the ROCK SHOW forum, but thought some of you might be interested in the ridiculous amount of photos I took of the David Lynch Foundation Benefit Concert at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. If not, well, I suppose I owe you the ten seconds of your life wasted checking out this post. Coupons for those ten seconds are available by mailing me ten dollars (US) for shipping and handling fees. P Here is the link (to the photos, not the coupons) http//s662.photobucket.com/albums/uu341/walliebaby/ Enjoy!

There was a nice surprise on Beatle Brunch this morning where they played Cosmically Conscious from the Radio City Concert...but I have to admit, it almost sounded a little too much like the record. I wonder if the Beatle Brunch segued to the original version or if the song was mimed that night.

All the other performers came out to sing along with Paul for Cosmically Conscious, and Bettye Lavette even shared a microphone with Paul... They also occasionally stopped singing/playing instruments to let the audience sing. It must've been the studio version they were playing on Beatle Brunch, because there's no way you wouldn't have been able to tell the difference.

...quite different from studio version which most likely was played on Beatle Brunch. It is different - my guess is that they played snippet of the begging (including some song intro banter and maybe the first verse), then spliced that with the original studio recording...at least to the best of my recollection

...quite different from studio version which most likely was played on Beatle Brunch. Thanks for posting that and thanks for folks who posted the photos. I was there and kept thinking of taking some pictures, but I was just in a trance, seeing Paul and Ringo on the same stage after all these years. . . . and I kept looking at Eddie Vedder - he looked like a little boy on Christmas morning. What an amazing night - only a handful of songs, but my most memorable Paul concert.

The highlight of this special show... http//

Received an e-mail earlier today from the David Lynch Foundation that says..."These exclusive DLF.TV video interviews with Paul McCartney and friends will be included in a documentary film of the concert, to be released soon. Stay tuned!"

Fantastic news. The performances were a little ragged in spots, but I hope they don't "sweeten" it. Just straight video footage would be perfect - Paul always manages to ruin his concert DVD's with all of the editing, flown-in footage and overdubbing. Someone should tell him that fans love the shows exactly the way they are - no polishing required.

yes but remember that David Lynch is a director and has his own (some might say offbeat?) style, at that, so sky's the limit as to what kind of film this is going to be. I'm not expecting straight concert shots of this one at all, actually.

Here's a preview of the upcoming concert film...enjoy! http//dlf.tv/
