Prices are HIGHER on this tour...

St. Louis-- $27.00?$250.00 Orlando-- $59.50?$250.00 These prices are comparable to the Up and Coming Tour. Why are they $30 higher than last November?

St. Louis had 27 dollar tickets?!?! No show I've ever been to had 27 dollar tickets... wow. I mean, that was pretty good if you just really have to be in the building but you can't afford to go.

I have been to 5 McCartney concerts since 1989. They were all great shows. Would have loved to see him in Brooklyn but he has completely priced me out. These concerts are now for those with bucks to burn and the elite. The price the tickets and the special packages are absurd. I paid top dollar for tickets when he played at Citifield last time and the seats were so bad I couldn't even see him when he played at the piano. But the prices now make those seats look good. You know the price is too high when the concerts don't eve sell out. McCartney is the greatest musician that ever lived in my book. But, it is clearly all about the money for him. Too bad, would have loved to seen my six concert by him.

Hi there, I completely understand your frustration, and yes, I feel a bit priced out this time around, especially for the Barclay's shows, where premium seats are nearly $100 more than they were for Yankee Stadium and Wrigley in 2011. I can't justify for myself spending that kind of money on a ticket, especially having a family and a budget that I need to work within. That said, I think you'll find a lot of people on the board who save up all their spendable income to pay for seats to these shows, and they are not "rich." Just passionate. I am not one of them, but I absolutely respect their devotion to an artist and wanting to experience these shows time and again.

Im sure Paul doesnt set ticket prices himseld. I for one do not think he is in it for the money. I think he truly loves to play for his fans. I bet his production company sets prices based on demographics and what other performers are making. Paul has hundreds of people working for him that im sure are not rich and do work for the money. Im just glad Paul shows arent as outrageous as the Stones. You can get a reasonable ticket to a Paul show for around $100.

I certainly don't mean to offend but I do disagree with you... I think Paul certainly has some say in over his ticket prices. Billy Joel has always insisted on lower ticket prices at his shows. I remember seeing him back in 1998 and the tickets were 36.50 for every seat in the arena! When I saw him in Philly back in 2006, floor seats were only $75.00, compared to the $250.00 Paul was charging for the same seats a year earlier during the US Tour. Just because the demand is there, doesn't mean it is right to gouge the fans. I love Paul, but he is incredibly overpriced. Also, I don't really think Paul's 100 dollar tickets are all that reasonable. Those are the price range we usually buy and often end up in the nosebleed section.... of course, in a stadium, every seat that isn't in the first 10 rows feels like the nosebleed section!!

Its really a no win situation for the fans. If Paul did price all tickets at $36 it would sell out in a matter of minutes and 80% would be bought up by scalpers and people trying to make a quick buck. Id rather ticket prices be a little higher to deter scalpers id rather the extra money I spend go to Paul and his crew rather than someone trying to make a quick buck at the die hard fans expense.

I wouldn't say the "rich", but those who are not terribly financially burdened. Obviously, to score a great floor ticket within the first 10 rows, you have to be able to fork out 1,500 easily.. even more money to pay out if you are going as a couple and buying a pair of tickets. It's quite frustrating and disappointing that just 6-7 years ago, these same seats were going for the standard $250 and some luck during ticket sales. Back then, I was just a high school/college student who couldn't afford that, and kept telling myself "one day". Now, that "one-day" is here, I can afford the $250 tickets, but it's still not going to get me a good up-front seat. I'm no less of a fan than those dishing out the thousands to get up close in front of the stage, but I simply cannot invest that money into one show with all my other expenses. It's almost a tease going to the shows and seeing everyone having a great time up front while they are interacting with Paul! I am quite happy for them, and they've worked hard to pay for those tickets, but I wish so badly I could partake in that enjoyment at just 1 concert in my lifetime!! I keep finding myself saying "one-day, I'll get VIP", but there's always that uncertainty..especially when you don't know if it's the last tour or not.. and the likihood of those VIP prices going up even more in the years to come, should Paul continue to tour!

You folks should come to Brazil: by paying $300 ($150 if you are a student) you can stand close to the stage. And if you want a Hot Sound package, it will cost you $1,375, which includes early entry into the stadium, food, drinks, merchandise, soundcheck and you have a 99% chance of standing at the grid, just a few feet away from Paul. I did not pay for a Hot Sound package last year, but I was lucky and got a spot at the grid. Here is a picture, so that you will have an idea how close it is to the stage:

I do think that the arena tickets are a better value for the money you spend.

of course he has say over ehat the tickets cost actually the overprice is charging $650 for good seats cos that what they are can only get a good seat if you pay that price

too bad its come to that I saw PAUL in concert 80 plus times but thats it I wont pay $250 to sit back of a place and I wont pay the gold price sad but its about money.

Besides he employs a HUGE company on these tours and the ppl involved certainly deserve to be paid well. Remember your money supports the artists as well as the technical crew. Paul doesn't just walk away with everything.

At this point. I won't go anymore for these prices, especially having seen him 10 times. I'd love to but I don't need to and those prices are now prohibitive for me. But I also speak as someone who saw him in rehearsal from the second row at the tiny Lyceum Theatre in NYC, and up close in Fenway and Wrigley. I'm satisfied.

Paul's microphone looks pretty far away in the pic. I was closer than that in the 8th row (arena show). I think the flight to Brazil alone would be over $1,000. America has Bonnaroo and Outside Lands with General Admission. If I had a magic carpet I'd join you in Brazil!

I started this post and just to clarify. An artist like McCartney has absolute last say on ticket prices and any issue. As for the poster that says Billy Joel keeps ticket prices down for fans, I really respect that. To clarify, horrible seats, that don't even give you a full view of the stage sell for $175. Seats three tiers up sell for $375. Floor seats you need a mortgage. The Beatle of the people is not the Beatle of the elite. John would be singing "how do you sleep at night". I always liked McCartney's songs better but loved Lennon's values better. By the way, as he gets older he should charge less. Every year his voice loses more. At the Olympics he was horrible. Each appearance is worse. What you are paying to see is an ICON of the past. Like paying $1,000 to see the Mona Lisa up close. Paul, what the heck are you doing?
