.... I would not go again even if he came to Charlotte NC because he will do close to the same show I have seen years ago and it is not worth the money.Heck, he is even telling the same stories. It is great that McCartney has passionate fans like yourself but as the song title said "Ive Had Enough" - lol
This is also a GIANT part of the equation. I'd love to know the setlist.
Well, if we go by the ads for this tour... "Paul McCartney's "Out There" tour will feature brand new, never before seen production and, as ever, hours of material from the most beloved catalog in popular music, with Paul performing songs spanning his entire career -- as a solo artist, member of Wings and of course The Beatles".

St. Louis had 27 dollar tickets?!?! No show I've ever been to had 27 dollar tickets... wow. I mean, that was pretty good if you just really have to be in the building but you can't afford to go.
Well I paid that in 1989 to see Paul.

This. Paul has not announced for Los Angeles yet (and when he does, the tickets will be priced higher than every other city in this tour, you can bet on that). If he is gong to do a lot of solo or Wings stuff he has not done in the past, I am willing to cough it up. But if it is pretty much the same set list as the past several years, then probably not. Not that I don't love him to death--but I feel like I have seen this same concert now several times (02,05 and 10 were all pretty much the same setlist, with a few changes). He did that set to perfection at the Bowl and I dont think he can top it now unless he does different songs. I hope he will be doing a lot of Wings, based on the rerelease of WOA, but who knows? BTW, for those stating that he doesn't give enough value--Paul plays a LOT longer than a lot of other artists. Almost three hours. If seeing a Beatle play for three hours aint enough value for you, I dont know what is. Bottom line, if you haven't seen him--GO! If you have seen him many times, then like me, you might want to wait and see what he will be playing before coughing up the big bucks.

Well he always does that--some from every era. I just hope it is weighted more with songs from Wings and solo years. Hell, I would pay $300 just to hear him do "Hi Hi Hi" in concert.

I saw him do that live in 1976! It was amazing!!

Similar information has been put out before other tours and it ends up with a change of 3 or 4 songs.

Every tour mentions the Beatles/Wings/Solo material in the advertisements, but I believe this is the first tour having mention of a 'brand new, never before seen production', so even if setlists are similar, it sounds like the show is being overhauled visually. Hey, I'll take whatever changes I can get!

I have a feeling there will be some major shake up to the set list. Whether that means ten new songs or twenty, I don't know. I will happily live vicariously through others and watch this forum for set lists, reviews, photos, and video!

It could also just mean the stage. I like LonelyRoads idea of this:

From your mouth to Paul's ears. I could do without the videos projected in the background or stage gimmicks, it's completely unnecessary.

I agree. PAUL is the show, and the band of course. I don't know why he can't just do something like this: http://abqjournal.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/George-Strait-Concert/G0000NMd3b0Wl9ZI/I00005khdpd50yok/C0000SxmWCp0LGzQ

I agree. It would also look better in my opinion. Plus, the majority of those videos are just tacky, IMO, especially the ones that are lifted from Rock Band. I haven't seen Springsteen in years, but he now does an open stage as well (similar to your photo), and tickets sell behind the stage. He interacts with the fans, and it seems to work well. Heck, it reminds me of this video of the Beatles:
Could you imagine Paul and band moving their gear around the stage all night to accommodate fans on all sides of a central stage? -

Imagine Paul and band coming onto a stage that is sparse, clean, with all their gear, great lighting and some screens above the stage of THEM PERFORMING and doing a killer show. That would be amazing! All the gimmicks and videos and colors are overkill and not needed. Paul is bigger than life, he doesn't neet all that.
