Where is this jukebox located? I have a doctor/friend who owns one of these. They have it for sale at the Mirage Beatles gift shop, but this is not there. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/njr/NANCY-HP/Pictures/2011_08_26/IMG_0859_zps0a996e75.jpg
Doctor Robert?
Anybody else have any photos? I'm leaving in 2 days for London/Liverpool trip (see the lyric above my avatar pic!) so will hopefully have some new ones when I return.

In London? Is it where they photographed the cover of Please Please Me and the 1967-1970 album? (EMI Headquarters in Manchester Square?) How do you block out stuff like that?

To block out names or other identifying information, I open the picture with the "Paint" program on the computer, and use it to cover things up. I also had to do it with the picture of the Indra because there was obscenity written on the wall. The picture is the Dorchester Hotel in London where the Beatles received the Variety award in March 1964 for top Show Business Personalities, also later that year they attended a party there after the premier of a Hard Days Night. A year later, they also attended a party there after the premier of Help!

Thanks for the info! I know of the hotel, but never would have gotten the answer! What is the 5-6 location here?

5-6 Argyll St., London, former offices of Brian Epstein. Now a "Five Guys" restuarant. It is also located next to the London Palladium, "birthplace" of Beatlemania Oct. 13, 1963. (I looovvveee Google)
What?! You were supposed to know that off the top of your head! Yes, the former offices of NEMS.

The Casbah! Haymans Green, Liverpool. Having fun in Liverpool Nancy?!
You are correct! Not there yet! Flying to London tonight, arrive 10 am on Friday. Then on 25th, off to Henley-On-Thames, then Liverpool until the 31st and fly home from Manchester.

You'll never guess this location. It is one of Paul's aunts homes. What occurred there? (this was taken through a bus window!) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/njr/NANCY-HP/Pictures/2011_08_26/IMG_0886_zps56971fe9.jpg
This is just a guess...is that his Aunt Jin's house where he celebrated his 21st birthday?
Yes! The same party where John beat up Bob Wooler!

I was going to add that little tidbit of information, but was too polite. wink Poor Paul to have to endure that at his birthday celebration. Now that one I did NOT have to resort to Google, I relied on memory of his Aunt Jin and the birthday party celebration at her house. Happy travels, Nancy!! Wish I could do the same trip, but I can't fly that distance. I will live vicariously through you!

Have a wonderful time over here Nancy What you getting up to in london then? Have you ever been to St Pancras Church gardens to do the mad day out pics? You really should if you haven't, go armed with some pictures from the day and have fun getting a friend to try and take them of you in the exact same spot so it matches up precisely. My partner has had to do this for me in the past It's fun though

No time to do that this trip. Today we landed at 9:45 am London time and in spite of some rain ("We didn't care!) made it to Trafalgar Square, St. Martin's-In-The Field church (where Linda & George Martin's memorials were held), Piccadilly Circus and the British Museum (just a small bit of it - we're going back tomorrow)

The sd card reader I got doesn't fit my sd card, so will have to wait until I get home to transfer my pics to my laptops. So won't be able to post any pics.

Today went to the Tower of London, St. Paul's, Ye Old Cheshire Cheese pub and the Old Operating Room theatre (I'm an O.R. nurse) Also went to the original HMV record store on Oxford St. where in 1962 Brian Epstein walked in with Beatles demos on reel-to-reel and they cut it into a 78 record in the store's recording studio. Then someone there told Brian to play the record to George Martin at EMI. And the rest is history! There is a blue Heritage plaque on the outside of the building that tells all this.
