I enjoyed reading about Pete and John's friendship. RIP Pete Shotton. â¤ï¸ð??ð?¼

I was looking at dvds a little while ago and heard a young teenage boy in the next aisle over say, "Ya, if that one's about The Beatles, Dad will like it!" John and Pete are back together again, waiting for The Big Wheel In The Sky to bring them and us all back together again, so that we can all do it all over again...and even better than last time!

such sad news

The book that Pete wrote in 1983 about him and John, In My Life, is really good!

Pete also helped John write the refrain to 'You've Got to Hide Your Love Away'. I always enjoyed reading Pete''s account of 'Eleanor Rigby'. Pete was a true insider. Rip.

All I can say is "Wow!"

I read two books Pete wrote about John. They were very interesting. John bought him a grocery store to run. I thought Pete shared a little too much info about their early sex lives as school boys but no-one can say he was a shrinking violet, LOL. Or that John was.

I borrowed "In My Life" from the school library some time in the 80's and accidentally never returned it (hopefully the library cop from Seinfeld won't get on my case)... I recall this was the book that gave a bit of an insight into John and Brian's trip away together.... which was big news to me at the time.... but I might be wrong.
