I just checked this out. The cheapest car radio is $49.99 and the monthly charge is $15.99, or $19.99 to be able to also listen on your tablet or phone with the app. Yikes! https://shop.siriusxm.com/radios/?intcmp=SHOP-HP-PROMO1
Did you check out the annual service?
No, is that cheaper?
Over $223. Including Service fees for Paul and Ringo to name many.
That's only slightly cheaper per month at $18.58/month. Still expensive for the amount I would use it. For a person who works 5 days a week and has a fairly long drive time, it would be worth it. I only go in twice a week and drive 12 minutes each way!

When I bought my car, almost 10 years ago, a trial of Sirius was included. I later ordered their portable radio, hoping to be able to listen at home, but that didn't work out too well: poor reception. When I called them about returning the portable one, I also asked to cancel the car account after the trial, as I didn't feel it was worth it, as I don't spend much time in my car. The rep begged me to stay with them, and ended up offering me free service to keep the car radio account turned on! Still have it. I've always wondered why there wasn't a Beatles channel on it. Now that there will be, I may spend a little more time in my car.

Spend more time in your car! Maybe take a road trip to an out of state Paul show. That's great that you got a free trial forever...I get a Sunday paper like that. That is a lot to pay for a radio station if you're not in the car that much. My Dad would be rolling over in his grave if he knew about pay radio, pay tv, paying for water...the times, they are a changing.

Well, guess I'm old-school (or just old!): I don't have pay tv or radio, and I never buy bottled water except for certain occasions, such as maybe at a Paul concert where you aren't allowed to bring in your own. And I have gone out of state to see Paul, but I always use mass transit!

I'm usually old school too but I do have cable tv & I use bottle water outside the home.

I use bottled water, but refill the empty ones upstairs with tap water for when I exercise. I also have satellite TV (DirecTV) We've always had to pay for our water (except when I lived in an apt. it was included with the rent then) I'm just glad we have good tasting tap water here in the Atlanta area. Florida is terrible! Hate it every time I go there. (Sorry BJ!)

Tuned into the channel today, just to get ready, and the promos are playing, with bits and pieces of music and dialogue, etc. And, still with the nines: debuts 9:09 A.M. EDT, plus, the channel number: 18 : 1 plus 8 equals 9, of course!

I KNEW I missed one! I guess this will be similar to the free online radio stations I've listened to on-and-off for years: http://www.beatlesradio.com/beatles-radio-tune-in and http://beatlesarama.com/

Me too! They had a "Fireman" station a few years back, so I don't see why they wouldn't add some Electric Arguments stuff on the channel. -Rubber Soul13
-
Phlash Phelps said they finally got a contract with Apple, so they should be able to play anything on Apple.
-
Anybody else so excited that they find themselves listening to the preview on Chanel 18, over and over and over again? Looking forward to this.....

I sat out in my car, listening to that Fireman Channel. Rushes, Electric Arguments and some dialogue from Paul, it was fantastic I listen to the Tom Petty station a lot now, so I'll switch over when this channel starts!
