...and burn them onto one CD, making your own 'pretend' live Beatles album? LOL (I laugh, but I am guilty as charged... ) Too bad the quality from different CDs varies to the point to where you can't get a good, smooth/even overall performance

If I knew how to burn a CD (on your computer you mean?) I would possibly do it. My computer has the capability, but I don't! Do you need a program to do it?

I know my computer came prepared to burn cds...I don't do that very often...so tonight after work, I'll walk my self through it again then relay that info to you (it's only takes a couple of minutes to set it up, then a few more minutes for the computer to burn the songs (you don't really have to do anything at this point) Two things I can tell you right now - 1) make sure you put a blank cd into your computer ( )...and 2) you have to take songs you already have downloaded and move them to a 'play list' of sorts

That's a cool idea; I should try that. I have made "pretend" Beatles studio albums, my favorite being the one that's made up entirely of songs produced (or co-produced) by Jeff Lynne, since he's the only one who worked with all four of them (counting "Real Love" and "Free As A Bird" as John songs).

I've thought of doing this, but never got around to it. If you use iTunes it's really easy. Make a playlist, insert a blank CD, select Burn Playlist to CD. Done! Also, allows you select level control so all the tracks will playback at the same volume level. I've never used Music Player, but I suspect they all basically work the same way. Anyway, please post your playlists.

Yes, please post your playlists, rich n! By the way, one way to make it a smooth listening experience would be to listen in iTunes itself, but pick the "crossfade" option in the settings so the audience noise blends more smoothly from one track to the next. To do the CD that way, you'd need other software.

I've always entertained the idea the fellas took a sabbatical in 1970 and came back together in 1971 with a double-album. It would've been a killer too! Up there with the White Album.

My memory must be going bad but what "live" performances do you have of Lennon?

                      Maybe I'm amazed !!

"I almost got all the words right too!" And two years after he's singing "I don't believe in Elvis", he's saying "I love you, Elvis" (or similar) when doing Hound Dog. A great release.

Also Live With Elton John in 1974. There are also a few live tracks from Lennon's Anthology; John Sinclair Concert Sometime In NYC has a Live Disc as well.
