Beatles Tribute Bands

Just heard that Ron McNeil, who plays John in The Fab Four will be phasing out of performing and Adam Hastings (Who is from Liverpool like their George, Gavin Pring!) will be taking over. Ron still owns the company, so he will still have a hand in everything.
Here’s Adam:

I haven't been to see any - but in watching youtubes of of a few, The Fab Four (as you mentioned) is one...other's include 'Sweet Lorretta Fat' (formerly Fooling April) and 'Wings Band' (actually a Paul cover band) who'd I'd like to see if they ever make it up to Massachusetts A couple of examples:
thnx for sharing,

I’m having trouble with my iPad and couldn’t quote you HC, but thanks for the correct link. The first link you posted doesn’t go to Wings Band, but some Beatles tribute band. The 2nd is them - Ardy Sarraf of The Fab Four plays Paul.

Got front row seat for The Return, who are appearing in Dawsonville, GA, about an hour from me on Aug. 17th.
Also, I talked to Gavin Pring at AROTR (he is George in The Fab Four) He said that he may not be able to go on the 2020 Flower Power cruise because he is in the process of becoming an American citizen (he’s from Bootle, near Liverpool) and unless that is totally sorted by next March, he can’t travel in International waters! Obviously, he can use his British passport to come to the U.S. since AROTR is in Jeffersonville, IN. If he can’t go, Doug Couture will sub for him.

Went to The Return concert last night - great show! (it was in Cumming, not Dawsonville) so only about 45 minutes away)
Found out that their George is going to sub again for BritBeat’s George on the Flower Power cruise again! Yeay! I will be going next year Mar. 28-Apr. 4. This is him (Michael Fulop - have known him since 1995 when he was 18!)

Gavin got his U.S. citizenship a couple months ago, so I'm hoping he goes on the cruise! Only about 5 1/2 weeks until we sail out of Miami!

Not sure if this is a blasphemous question but has anyone ever seen a Beatles tribute band? I am going to see one in Miami (called 1964 The Tribute) and it's being billed as a 50th anniversary show...even taking place at the same Miami hotel where the Beatles performed on Feb 16, 1964. Anyway, I don't have the highest of expectations. Don't get me wrong, I know it will be fun and a good time, just not sure how convincing the sound will be.
I've seen the tribute Band "1964" a couple of times and believe me they are great and definitely worth the time to see.

Speaking of Beatles' Tribute Bands...
I discovered a new one (for me) recently on Youtube. The Band's name is "Rreina Del Cid". I love the lead singer and the back-up singers in the Band.
Specficially, I love the way they do:
Maxwell Silver Hammer
Rocky Raccoon
If someone like Nancy or Oobu can put both of these vidios on this thread it would be appreciated. I think many here will enjoy their renditions.

They are good, but all are getting up there in years. I think only Mac Ruffing (Paul) is still in his 60s. The rest are in their 70s.

Someday you need to learn how to search, copy & paste! The band is Reina Del Cid which means Queen Of The Acid!

Thank you so much NJR. I have no problem with searching on Youtube but my computer skills are no doubt lackin As they say...it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks and I'm certainly old.
For all the boardies, please take a look at the 2 youtube videos directly above. The Band "Reina Del Cid" is great.
They do 2 of my all time fav Beatle songs....1st one is "Maxwell Silver Hammer" and the 2nd one is "Rocky Raccoon".
I know some Bealte fans don't love them (John called them Granny songs or Story songs but I think they are part of what made the Beatles the greatest band with their tremendoud variety of genres that they did. Not every song has to be deep personal ones. Sometimes a good "story" song breaks the serious mood.
I like the lead singer from "reina Del Cid" and the other Band members can sing too.
Let me know what you think. At the time they did these videos, they were in Austin TX. Don't know if that is where they are from but they are very talented.

^ B J, you don't have to call me NJR! (My name was Magill and I called myself Lil, but everyone knows me as NANCY!)

I love those lyrics. What did you think of Reina Del Cid? Love the lead singers voice and she had Paul's nuances in his vocals perfect.

I have to admit I didn't even watch the videos. Too many other things take precedence. Sorry!

I've seen a few tribute bands, and The Return (used to be called the Roaches) are by far the best. Just my opinion.
