WHO WENT TO A BEATLES CONCERT (for broadcast on CBS)

I hope it's not edited and I hope CBS keeps their grubby promo announcements off of the last song. Like when they squeeze the picture, add the credit roll, cut the sound, and talk about the news, coming up next. And during the telecast, if you hear one lone voice in the crowd shouting "Yeah!" once or twice during a couple of the intros, that was him

Him who? Sorry, I'm in Cancun at a Beatles celebration thing but haven't seen the show yet. Thank God for DVRs!

Me. I didn't realize I was shouting "Yeah!" a couple times. Then I corrected myself.

I'll listen for you!

It'll do no good, but who knows? I couldn't hear it listening in 5.1 sound, so I think the editors did their job. There were several places where the sound was remixed to smooth out the audience, but the roar of the crowd as heard in the broadcast is authentic to how we were sounding that night.

Did you see Frampton's article there too? http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/5901114/peter-frampton-on-beatles-tribute-a-lot-of-not-so-dry-eyes I hope it's not cut at all. Randy...you let us know.
They cut Magical Mystery Tour from Paul's set, and the sing-along portion of Hey Jude, and Paul and Ringo bowing together. Otherwise it was the complete concert. I expected a hack job from CBS, and they left it pretty well intact. The Letterman portions were fab too! Can't wait for the DVD. Well done, CBS!

Nancy looked like she was having the time of her life. Could not imagine a certain someone acting the same way - lol.

You can see what a FAN she is. She was sooo cool singing all the songs (not having to ask what they were). She was really into it.

Really enjoyed seeing Nancy, and all their families there! Just great!

They also shortened the middle part of "Here Comes the Sun" to two passes. It was complete at the show. I wish they would have had "And I Love Her" sung by Steve Miller, the 70's version, and I would have enjoyed deeper groves like "It's All Too Much", "The Word", "For No One", or "Ob-La-Di-Ob-La-Da". I certainly missed hearing "Norwegian Wood" and I would have liked hearing, "Act Naturally" around a series of movie clips. During one of the breaks in taping the show, the house band was offstage, out of sight, and they played an instrumental version of "Lady Madonna".

Yoko was dancing up a storm! Did you see her & Barbara's sister Marjory dancing together?
Okay, somebody please tell me, is Annie Lennox HIV Positive? Why was she wearing that shirt if she isn't?
Ringo was really loving it. Paul too, but more subdued. I think he was thinking about John & George and wishing they were there. Me too--wouldn't that have been the most fantastic thing in the world?
-
There is another possibility you know. The taping was nearly four hours!

Possibility for what? Do you mean why Paul looked more subdued? He was also subdued at the Letterman interview. Interview? More like a few questions. I think Paul, more than anything, just let Ringo get a bit of the limelight & let Ringo joke around a bit.

Maybe Audley means that Paul was just a bit worn out.
