I just saw him tonight. God, I forgot how intense a good vibe can be and it was quite a show. I was one of the three people that danced to Anthem. Ringo joked, "You're the three who bought the album, huh?" someone else said something to him and he replied, "What? You want your money back?" Still glowing from the show. It was so good. I was only 60 feet from the stage. Finally I got to see a concert up close

I loved the joke calling DTE 'BLT'!

ah, forgot about that. Ringo's set banter was very funny and fresh. So was Todd Rundgren's. (Sp). Inviting us to join in....I yelled out, "Don't give me an invitation" People around me heard it and laughed

http://www.freep.com/comments/article/20140626/ENT04/306260187/ringo-starr-dte-concert-detroit I have to say this - Ringo was FULL of laughter and very laid back on Friday night. Perfect weather for one of his best show's Ive seen since first going in '99. I've shared three All-Starr tours with my late father'99,'00, & '03), one with the wife (in '12), once alone ('06) and three with my mother ('08,'10, &'14) - each had their own characteristic but all were full of fun. I saw this exact band two years ago when I took the trip down to Indiana with the wife but seeing them again in Detroit was fantastic (and cheaper). He definitely should not wait another 8 years to come back to the Detroit area although he has been nearly in Detroit in '08 and '10 (across the Detroit River in Windsor). I can see why he loves being with a band as opposed to doing all Ringo songs; although that would be a dream to see. This formula however works for him. He is no Paul but that's what makes it so enjoyable because Ringo is like a working class musician - he knows he does not sell a lot of his recent records but does it for the love of it and to have a couple of new numbers in the live show. The crowd is comprised of a more older crowd than a Paul show but it created a super laid back atmosphere. He played from 7:34-9:45Pm - 26 songs in all. The band was in top form performing extended version of some Santana and Toto songs - they really jammed on those quite well. I think the only thing I would change would be to move on from Richard Page - he has been fantastic but he's been with them since 2010 and has been on the subsequent '11,'12,'13 and '14 shows. I'd love to see Hamish back in or Jack Bruce but I think what you are seeing with this All-Starr group is nothing short of amazing. I hope to see him back in 2015 or 2016; as Ringo will be in his mid 70's still acting like someone half his age enjoy playing to the audience.

Going to see him in Kansas City in October. Hope he changes the show up a bit. Would be nice to see him dip a bit more into his back catalog. "Snookeroo" and "La De Da " come to mind.

DrivinFan:
Ringo added a "Hare Krishna" during the sax solo in the middle of "It Don't Come Easy"...as was done on the original take by George!
I saw the show in Red Bank NJ and had a fine time, but I have to admit that the "Hare Krishna" was the highlight of the show for me. I punched my friend in the arm when he said it we were both really surprised. I definitely did not see that coming.

The show in Cleveland last night was another great show put on by Ringo and the All-Starrs!! I got to the venue in time to hear Soundcheck from outside, the best part of it was hearing the banter like a fly on the wall!! The greatest part of the show for me was right after "It Don't Come Easy" I held up my sign that read: "Ringo Peace and Love!" he pointed to it and said "Right! Peace and Love!" It was such a great moment for me, and probably the closest I will get to communicating with a Beatle face to face! I let all the great songs really sink in and think about how he recorded a lot of these songs with John, Paul, and George and all the great memories he must have! 8 of the 12 songs he performs are ones he recorded with The Beatles and With A Little Help is one of my favorites and Don't Pass Me By being on The White Album is a joy to listen to live! Such a great performer and this being my 3rd time will probably be my most memorable!

Ringo has announced more tour dates in the US, in October... which is when Paul will be there as well. Coincidence? http://www.ringostarr.com/ringo-starr-starr-band-kick-north-american-summer-tour-announce-additional-dates-october/

I got my tix to see him October 21 in Fort Lauderdale - seen Paul four times but this will be my first Ringo show. Super excited actually. And now I am seriously contemplating the October 25 Paul show in Jacksonville - which is about a 5-hour drive for me. If I did pull the trigger on those, what an epic week that would be!

McFangirl, you'll love seeing Ringo at Humphrey's! It's a gorgeous, exotic venue, and Ringo seems to really like the vibes there. He'll likely chastise all the kayakers who moor at Humphrey's marina and avoid paying ticket prices! I saw him play there a few years back, and it was a "beautiful night" indeed!

A friend sent me a picture of Ringo's merchandise booth in Albuquerque: The concert should begin in a couple of minutes.

Ringo Starr was FANTASTIC in Albuquerque tonight! He was energetic and great, and his band is amazing. Show started 1.5 hours late because of rain, but then started at 9:30pm. Loved PHOTOGRAPH and WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS at the end and GIVE PEACE A CHANCE was a nice touch at the end. I thought the show would be cancelled because of the rain, but once it cleared up is was a gorgeous night. Security guy said Ringo insisted on waiting out the storm so he and the band could play. Classy guy Ringo is!
