What are you wearing to the concert?

I usually wear the same T-shirt...it shows various pictures of Paul throughout his life...from a young child, to teen years, early Beatles, late Beatles, Wings era, etc. etc. It is a great conversation starter, too.

Here's the problem I have with people wearing Beatles shirts to his shows... It's a PAUL SOLO SHOW. Not a Beatles concert. I mean it's been 43 years since he was a Beatle. I don't get it...
So what? Paul was *in* the Beatles, FFS! I went to a Page and Plant show in '98 and loads of people were wearing Led Zeppelin shirts (myself included) and it was just fine. I've talked to several friends who have been to Paul shows in the past who said there are always loads of Beatles shirts. I guess I don't see what the issue is in wearing one?

Apple Scruff said s/he hadn't been seen Paul before and outside of one of his concerts, where would even get hold of a Macca (nevermind Wings) shirt these days? Promo shirts - never that easy to come by to begin with but labels don't really even bother producing them anymore. I had promo shirts for every one of Paul's 80's albums - I haven't even *seen* one for any of his 00's releases! There are generic Wings shirts on ebay as already mentioned but I have hardly ever seen a generic Macca shirt (and the few out there look completely naff!) Even online retailers specializing in r'n'r tees - and there are loads of them - *don't* sell Macca stuff, I'm assuming because they think there's no market for it and/or he's not "cool" enough. People should wear what they want anyway as other posters have already said but some *have* to wear Beatles shirt 'cause there just aren't Paul/Wings shirts out there these days aside from at the shows.

I don't see anything wrong with wearing a Beatles t-shirt to a Paul concert. It's a nice homage to how Paul got his start. If it weren't for The Beatles, do you really think we would be having the privilege of seeing Paul at these concerts??? He DOES sing Beatles songs at his concert, so HE even acknowledges the connection to THAT band. My DH wore his Beatles shirt to his concerts we have attended, I saw nothing amiss about that. There were plenty of Beatles t-shirts in sight the times we saw Ringo in concert. I have seen plenty of shirts of other rock bands when at various concerts...i.e. Aerosmith t-shirt @ The Who concert, Rolling Stones @ a Boston concert, etc.

I completely agree, lady*madonna. The Beatles are part of Paul's career & he sings his Beatle songs throughout the show. If someone wears a Wings shirt, is that wrong because it is not a Wings concert? I don't think so.

I haven't decided what shirt to wear when I see him in Indy, but I ALWAYS wear my "flashing" I LOVE PAUL button ! ( from 64 ) I've worn it to every concert since 76. It's always a conversation starter

Wow - I've got one of those too and had forgotten all about it! I may have to dig it out now...thanks for shaking up my gray matter! I've also got a set of "flashing" earrings somewhere - I know Paul's on one of them, maybe both...uh oh: this could get a little scary!

My friends and I usually wear a different band/artists t-shirt at a concert; to show and advertise other great music we like. I've worn a Beatles black t-shirt with the 'With The Beatles' artwork on the cover on stage at Elton John's Red Piano show in Vegas. Oddly enough, I wore a cool Elton John t-shirt I bought in Vegas at Paul's show in St. Louis last November. Next week I'm wearing two Paul shirts. One from 2002 (my first show) and the other from 2005. I don't care if it's cliche, I'm not trying to impress anyone. Besides, I get a lot of complements on those shirts.

I'm not wearing any Paul apparel. I think it's cliche. I always dress up for concerts. As in, dressy. I bought a few new dresses yesterday and am trying to which one for which night.
I'm with you on this. I'll probably wear a cool shirt and tie with nice pants. I would say a jacket too, but it'll be July 14 so it'll probably be too hot for that!

I will be wearing my mom's original Wings Over America tour tshirt from 1976. The one she gave me was cut off at the stomach years ago but that just means my McCartney tattoo will show. So if you see a mother and daughter rocking matching yellow Wings shirts that will be us in Memphis, Washington, and Milwaukee.
Pics, please.
-
I think I'll be wearing my black PMc T-shirt -- hopefully will see some other members at the Tulsa 5/30 concert!!
-
I have until July to figure it out, but unsure of what I want to wear. I do have a shirt from the 89/90 tour, and a plain-ish Driving USA tour one. I will probably go with a graphic tee of some sort, bell bottom jeans, and find some neat jewelry/accessories. This is going to be during the DC summer so it's gonna be hot as heck, that's all I know for sure. I also want to do something cool with my nails as I'm really into nail polish/nail art. I wonder if I wore something glow in the dark if Paul would notice it, lol

Very cool. I've never seen one at BeatleFest but I will really keep my eyes open now. Thanks for the info.
Good luck - hope you find one!! As I say, I haven't seen one for a very long time now but perhaps they're still out there. I'd check eBay as well.
I was bidding on an ivory one on ebay a few months ago but it got too rich for my blood.
I was going through some old Paul clippings of mine, and found an ad from October 1980 advertising: "A Special Limited Edition of Paul and Linda McCartney's Ivory Wings. The "Wings" will be cast in 14K Gold and Sterling Silver by the original artist Roger Francis. Each set will be numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity. A limited Edition of "Wings" - only 100 will be cast in 14K Gold for $600.00 each and only 1,000 will be cast in Sterling Silver for $100.00 each. Custom Ivory orders accepted." It then listed Roger Francis address in Dallas, Texas. Did he actually make Paul's necklace?

I've got these three Paul/Wings shirts recently, I'll probably wear the Wings one to the show!
