It certainly seems like the most likely time. The hottest rumours (still just rumours) that we've had while I've been hanging out to see him. I've got a bit of a McCartney fund I've been saving for the last few years. It will either be go VIP and see him in Melbourne or a normal ticket and see him overseas. I saw Billy Joel in Sydney a few years back (an early 18th present) but there's something special about seeing them in your home town.

Did I miss Billy Joel being mentioned in that article or have you heard something else about him possibly coming?? Have been the couple of recent tours in Melbourne, and had tickets for MSG a few years ago that I ended up having to sell. Always a good night!!

An Australian concert promoter was backstage last month at Billy's MSG show. Apparently things are being discussed.
Always does a great show, seen him twice at MSG and once solo, in a 400 seat room. Unbelievable. -

Was that by any chance at the corner hotel in Melbourne? I heard some stories of there being a drum clinic there by Liberty Devitto and at some point the curtain goes down and the full band is on the stage and they played there. Possibly "Storm Front" era? Jeff too?? Damn. Any idea on when that might happen - early 2017?? Is Ringo still due as well?? He seemed to have dates right after his Japan ones which made me have the thought that perhaps it's off. -

we await an announcementWell, I'm still hopeful. There are a lot of factors to the March rumour. However, we all thought that 2013 was going to be the year just as we had many times before. But you gotta live in hope. And those who know me know that I am by far not an optimist which tells you how much I'm hoping it's true. He's said in his latest interview with Rolling Stone that he finds the idea of playing in small venues "attractive". The question posited only new material and it's not quite clear just from the text whether he liked or disliked that idea. But, boy, it'd be good to see him do some new stuff and/or some deep cuts at The Corner all close-up and then off to Rod Laver the next day. Ooh, that would be lovely.

I still just know it will be announced as a gig on the same day Collingwood are playing the Grand Final next year. Gonna have to rush off from the MCG to Etihad and back to Holden Centre/Victoria Park for the celebrations.... "It's going to be a Great Day."

Collingwood are a long way from that one day in September, go the Eagles!!!!! Incidentally Paul McCartney wore the blue and gold on Subiaco Oval in 1993, come back Paul!!!!! Come to Australia, visit the joeys and koalas like you were saying in your press clips before you almost nearly came to our great land. It will be relaxing and peaceful for you and your family, you enjoyed it so much in 1975 and 1993 mate. We will not give up, just like you said after performing "party" we are not going to stop, until you return

I have everything crossed! I wasn't allowed to go to his 1993 concert (I will never forgive my mum), had tickets for his 'postponed' concert. I've been lucky enough to see him twice in Europe. It would be a dream to see him here!
