I'm one of the people who very recently became a Premium Member (Oct. 13th to be exact!). I am pleased to report that I received an e-mail from PaulMcCartney.com today informing me that I will receive a full refund because they are discontinuing Premium Membership. Yay! They did the right thing - thanks guys.

OK -- now I'm confused again.

LOL should be a special club for us in the same boat.. So it looks like profiles, networking, - and as a consequence - logging into the site are returning. But paid membership at Premium level is not - if CAA post suggesting refunds to some late joining members is correct. As to Pioneer status, the profiles of the early joiners that achieved this will still bear the red heart overlay on their avatar that indicated this special status - not sure about the purple Premium and blue basic level overlays though. No commitment suggested to offer any special privileges to what will be a small but select group of Pioneers such as unique Premium content access - or ability to stream whole tracks and albums as we had in the JukeBox. But this episode has demonstrated the commitment given to listen to the users through this topic is real and genuine, so we should keep forwarding suggestions as to what is most meaningful and important to us. No Doris...there is no need to sign in anymore. Our pages are all gone our friends are gone our jukeboxes are gone our messages are gone
I liked the stuff I got from the main site of being a pioneer member and it meant a great deal to me. I don't mind not getting to much I hardly understood what to do with the mixing thing anyway. I didn't really complain. I liked it. So I will miss it. love doris

Your page and Friends are being returned as soon as they can arrange it. You will be able to log in again to read your personal messages. Those that had Pioneer status will once again have that title shown on their profile. The paid-for content linked to Premium membership doesn't not seem to be returning nor, seemingly at this time is any "Paid for" membership. Be patient, the personal content will be returned as soon as possible. Martin

One more fatality of Hurricane...where did my friends go? Where is the jukebox and Rude Studio? Just thought that it was difficult to maneuver to different pages...That was my only complaint...

Thank you very much for listening. I'm glad you are about to respond to people's constructive criticisms. And thanks for the reinstatement of our profile.

Thanks, Martin.

Maybe they did this in order to calm some people that may be attending the upcoming gig on Sunday. So cancel the millions of complaint signs people. Kidding!

Thank you. Though I don't always agree with your ideas about things, I do think you always end up handeling them well, Allen. (and I'm not just sucking up)

What exactly does pioneer mean now though? Is it not just a tag that says "I was in the first 1000 suckers!"
Right now, yes but it looks like they're working on it...though it may take another while yet.

Hehe I was a pionneer member too even if I was over the first 1000 thousands... will see what happened. But seriously, all of this has been (still is?) a communication fiasco by MPL, it reminds me of how they communicate the Denmark show cancellation earlier this year by a laconic press release. As a fan of Paul, I kind of hurt when I see flames coming from his fanbase, these kind of situations could have been handled in another way, with the same results that they intended to have. I don't aim these critics directly at Paul but at the MPL's people. I hope that someone at MPL saw this and pushed the "Alarm button" so that a higher-ranked person address these issues... not just an admin trying to calm us down. At least they seem to realize they did something wrong.. we'll see in the future what will happen I guess.. I really, really do miss Linda these days...
I agree about hurting when the flames come from the fanbase. and yes, I blame MPL more then Paul for this.

I will say my feelings here. I'm glad they listened to us and are returning the social networking aspect or at least parts of it. (I wonder if they'll bring back the fans blog. I loved that the best). but Pioneer right now is looking like the first 1000 suckers still.

Can we all premium members be pioneers?

Do yourself a favor..Shell out $20 and go see James Live..he at least meets his fans after his shows..and those of us who are true fans he's even warmed up to ....why would I spend hundreds to maybe see a glimpse of Paul..on a screen...When James is just as talented if not more...and after a more intimate show says thanks and at least shakes your hand. I realize Paul cant do this anymore...but I'm just saying I rather support a musician who really seems to care I'm a fan when I'm next so him in person. Stay real James!! That's rock n roll..not this zoo.

Please reinstate the premium members as they were. We all did pay and although I am not a pioneer, I only had two months for fifty bucks. I'm not sure who made this bone head decision to take it away. The play list, the radio, the time line, the photos. Put back the premium member area as it was. I see from all the posts that no one is happy about this change, you just got everyone's ire. We want it back.

Yeah, I wasn' t going to answer that with the 'true fan' comment that will always get my ire.

I've been critical so far, and remain angry about the lack of value for money, but I will say a heartfelt "well done" to the website manager for reinstating the social networking functions. Personally, I have no use for them and am not remotely interested, but it's clear to see that many are. I'll say this again though: I DON'T consider a download of Live Kisses to be an acceptable "gift". I'd wager that very few here would buy Live Kisses on download in preference to on DVD or blu-ray and I think MPL knows this, which is why they're offering it. If MPL thinks that offering a "gift" that they know no-one wants is a good way to say "thank you", then they're stooping really low. We all know that the "thank you" email was PR speak for "we apologise" but any thank you/apology has to be sincere and the current offer (granted, we don't know what else we may get) does NOT appear to me to be a sincere effort to make up the loss. Now, a voucher to redeem in the website store: THAT would be very acceptable. It would, at the very least, allow me to buy the format of Live Kisses I want, rather than offering me a format they'd take an educated guess that I won't like.
