In a word: Epic! Same setlist as Dodger Stadium except dropped I Saw Her Standing There and did Get Back in the first encore. Soundcheck ran late so got to hear about 4 or 5 songs from outside when I got there. A couple observations...the sound was better than Dodger Stadium, clear as could be. And his voice was even better tonight I thought, especially moving on Here Today and Maybe I'm Amazed, but strong throughout. He also mentioned that his wife Nancy is from San Diego, something I did not know. The band was totally hot too...An incredible show!

Sounds like he has it down to a science.

Glad you had an awesome time. I did not know that about Nancy either.

Hello fellow Paul McCartney / Beatles fans! Would like to hear about your experience from last nights concert in San Diego Ca. The band played Get Back last nite which they didn't at Dodger Stadium. Queenie Eye was really good and the sound was tighter at Petco Park maybe cuz the place is a little tighter inside. The older crowd still hadn't heard the NEW songs yet but maybe they will now get the CD. Most come for the older Beatles tunes or Band On The Run. Live It Let Die was a high point for sure. I couldn't believe the crowds of people that were leaving after Hey Jude and after the first encore. Although I did see some run back to their seats as well. Kids, adults, middle aged adults ( me ) older folks and real older fans 75 years old plus were there. Maybe some came to say that they saw and heard Beatle Paul to be able to cross that one off their bucket list. ( Just kidding ) I took the Trolley from Imperial Beach after hanging in my hometown watching the Chargers on the tele and checking out a surfing contest at the I.B. pier. Dedicated to a family friend, Dempsey Holder. Oh yeah Paul did mention " Go Chargers " last night. Peace Out. Ray in LBC.

Sure he wasn't joking? I thought Nancy was from New Jersey.

Coming up more from the concert!!!! But to clarify, Paul said that Nancy lived in San Diego.
-

Paul did say that last night which I dount anybody knew about. But isn't MTA a San Diego transportation company too? And yes the sound was even better in San Diego last night than Dodger Stadium which was hard to believe.

Here's a review from the San Diego Union-Tribune McCartney at Petco, a full review: Wow! It was a night to remember as the former Beatle and veteran solo star Sunday performed his first public San Diego concert since 1976. By George Varga Sept. 29, 2014 The sustained roar of cheers and applause rising out of Petco Park Sunday night was loud enough to suggest the San Diego Padres had, improbably, just won their first World Series (despite having wrapped up another losing season earlier the same day). http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2014/sep/29/paul-mccartney-at-petco-park-full-review/ Moderator edit Post edited to conform with copyright forum guidelines

He rooted for the Chargers too. Has he done that before? Probably has, just haven't heard of it.
