Paul' Health - next set of shows
-
Have tickets to see him in Albany, but can't find any current information regarding his health. Does anyone know if the band is practicing? Are there any rumours regarding the possibility that the next set of shows might be canceled?

He's in Spain on holiday. The latest pictures show him happy and relaxed on a boat in Ibiza, with Nancy. I believe he's getting ready for the tour and I expect rehearsals to begin a few days from now. I'm sure you will have a great time! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2665815/Sir-Paul-McCartney-72-enjoys-relaxing-Ibiza-getaway-wife-Nancy-Shevell-53-admits-hitting-bottle-Beatles-split.html

I think if there was any question about his own health, Paul would have issued further postponements. I think in the past, he's 'roughed it' on stage while fighting some throat ailments, but this time, the illness was apparently somewhat more serious and I'm sure they were taking the cautious approach when deciding when to resume touring. I would guess that since Paul has given the thumbs up, he probably felt well enough to sing for a few weeks now...but wanted to make certain he was ready (not to mention the logistics of getting the ball rolling again after such a string of postponements and cancellations)

Ringo Starr Gives Health Update On Paul McCartney: "I spoke to him in the hospital," said Starr. "He picked up and said 'hi.' He's doing OK. He was in hospital but now he's out and getting fit and ready to rock. He's doing good. I text him and he texts me back. Paul vacationing in Ibiza is a clear sign he is healthy. The tour will go on as planned.

Great pictures!! Thank you!!!
You're welcome! It seems very exciting times are ahead of us.

With Paul adding another date to the tour, I think it's a clear sign that he not only feels great, but wants to come back and enjoy every minute of touring while he can. A flu bug isn't the end of him

This wasn't a flu bug, rather it was a much more serious virus. At least that is what the official story is.
-
I think the key takeaway is that regardless of how serious his virus was (I just got over one and it took for weeks and i'm 30 years younger) - it wasn't anything that was a long term health issue. The fact that he is adding dates, and is rehearsing with the band, and suggests more dates will be added means that it was just a one time thing and he still plans to keep his current touring pace. That is great news for fans. RamblinRed

He is really making the most of whatever time he's still got. He's been doing that since 2002, we are very lucky to be able to enjoy his non-stop tours.
-
With this added show his 3 US legs now have as many cities (20) as his Wings Over America tour in 1976. (Not as many shows, though the arenas and stadiums are all larger - except Kingdome). RamblinRed

I think the bottom line is that Paul loves to perform, and he''ll basically keep doing it until he drops.

Paul was always the one wanting to do live shows, so it makes sense that the drive for it continues on as he gets older.
