LED ZEPPELIN!
-
I saw Robert Plant at Constitution Hall with the Band of Joy in 2011...it was...interesting. I described it to friends as Led Zeppelin + Banjos
-
I love the re-arranged version of "Black Dog" that he's been doing lately.
-
I was just re watching the 1979 Knebworth performance on their live dvd they released a while back. Love it. Especially Whole Lotta Love from that show. That version is the definitive version. Made me want to..............well...............can't really say that on a family forum such as this can I?

Bron-Yr-Aur-Stomp:
and a video of Robert with his dog Strider: 'Ah caught you smiling at me, That's the way it should be, Like a leaf is to a tree, so fine. Ah all the good times we had, I sang love songs so glad Always smiling, never sad, so fine. *As we walk down the country lanes, I'll be singing a song, Hear me calling your name. Hear the wind within the trees, Telling Mother Nature 'bout you and me. Well if the sunshines so bright, Or on our way it's darkest night The road we choose ain't always right, so fine. Ah can your love be so strong When so many loves go wrong Will our love go on and on and on and on and on and on? * Chorus My, my la de la come on now your in too far, Tell your friends all around the world, Ain't no companion like a blue eyed merle. Come on now well let me tell you, What you're missing, missing, 'round them brick walls. So of one thing I am sure, It's a friendship so pure, Angels singing all around And you see it all around, my dog is so fine. Yeah, ain't but one thing to do Spend my nat'ral life with you, You're the finest dog I knew, so fine. When you're old and your eyes are dim, There ain't no old Shep gonna happen again, We'll still go walking down country lanes, I'll sing the same old songs, Hear me call your name.' -
I saw the "Mighty Zep" live in 1972! I remember being impressed watching John Bonham play a drum solo with his hands all taped up.

NOW YOU'RE TALKING, LED ZEPPELIN, my second most favorite band of all-time, close second to THE BEATLES! I commented on this thread awhile back, still love them! Lately I've been getting into the PAGE / PLANT era (1995 and 1998 tours), I saw many of the PAGE / PLANT shows in California in 1995 and 1998. I finally own almost all of the PAGE / PLANT shows on bootleg DVD, the picture and sound quality is INCREDIBLE!

I haven't played any Led-Zeppelin song for 2 years. Now, I miss "Mothership."

Has anyone ever heard/seen the video "Led Zeppelin vs The Beatles - Whole Lotta Helter Skelter" on Youtube? It sounds killer! If possible, can someone paste the link here on the LED ZEPPELIN thread? It would be deeply appreciated.

How Many More Times

I don't play Led Zeppelin every day, but I think they are one of the best rock bands ever. Perhaps the greatest... I'm more fond of The Rolling Stones but they also made pop songs, disco... Led Zeppelin is more consistent rock from start to finish.
-
Throughout my life, I've always ranked the top three bands as follows: (1.) The Beatles (2.) Led Zeppelin (3.) The Rolling Stones All three bands are great but The Beatles have always been my favorite!
-
My top band is The Beatles. Not sure if i can make a top three, think I need a top ten, or more... but not necsessarily in order: 1. The Beatles Teenage Fanclub Barclay James Harvest Wilco R.E.M.
